Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

I'm noticing that all the new codes now exclude sale fares. The previous codes worked even for sale fares, which was awesome and encouraged me even more to buy tickets!

I haven't seen my favoured BNE-CNS VV in J for $419 since Christmas and I'm starting to think that may have been a code applied to a sale fare. I can't remember TBH.

I just tried the DLR26 code on todays happy hour eligible fares - and the fares went up :(. It looks like it displays the highest of the two applicable fares.....

Happy hour fares effectively have their own promo code, so you can't add a second code.

Just had a promo for 20 day advanced purchase, all classes all destinations including long haul VA1/2 & 7/8 to LAX and AUH 29/30, book from 1st july to 30th sept 2015 for travel to 31st march 2016. Code is GHW46, this is via the reject shop.

Thanks for this, just made use of it for the first time and ended up with 15%+3% (no credit card fee) off when combined with a voucher bought through the entertainment book, 18% discount not to be sneezed at!

Tested every promo I could find here but couldn't get anything to work less than two weeks out from flying. So now I know more than I did before.

Prebuy virgin vouchers at 5% discount to face value. Delivery takes approx 1 business day. Ent book costs around 50 to 70 dollars. So... It really depends how much you spend on virgin flights.

Question for others: had anyone used the discount voucher to book long haul business? I think theoretically the voucher isn't supposed to be used for long haul, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible.

I booked long haul economy recently with a voucher I had bought using the Entertainment Book discount. Only requirement was that the booking had to be done over the phone. I'm not sure that Virgin can even tell that it was bought at a discount as the voucher is for the set amount and doesn't include purchase price.

That really depends on how much you're spending on a flight. 5% discount saved me $180 earlier this year, so that alone covers the cost of the book 2x.

Am trying to do the maths on this one- is there a surcharge to use a credit card to buy the vouchers that reduces the discount? Particularly for AMEX?

thanks!

No surcharge, but you can only use Visa or Mastercard to pay, not amex.

It's better than that. My understanding is that it means you don't have to pay the credit card booking fee on the VA website if the voucher is for the whole amount (or more) of the fare

(I easily make my EB subscription back with WISH cards alone)
