Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

According to ozbargain doesn't start for 3 days.

The OP has now added into the OzBargain post: THIS CODE WILL ONLY WORK BETWEEN THE 7th DECEMBER 2015 to 13 DECEMBER 2015

He/she hasn't been particularly helpful with the request for Ts & Cs - their reply to that question was just to effectively repeat what they posted originally about the travel dates (which are pretty generalised).

I will give it another test on the 7th of December as it is too good to miss if it actually works :)

It does sound really good, but with discounts like that, you'd have to wonder whether it's a corporate promotion of some sort and therefore quite restricted as to who is eligible to use it. Will keep an eye on the OZB thread to see whether the OP comes up with any more info.

I'd love to know the T&Cs as well. I'll certainly be watching come start day. With -30% on dom, one would be mad to ignore it, but of course it will depend upon which are the "selected domestic" routes.

Thanks for posting this one!

Hmmm, still no sign of the OP on OZB coming up with any more details regarding the Ts & Cs, so I wonder where he/she "stumbled across" this promo code - it seems odd, given the wide-ranging spread of AFF membership across various corporations, government departments, loyalty schemes, etc, that no one here seems to have come across or received this promo code, as would usually be the case. The only other place I've found a mention of it is a site called Top Bargains (which I'd never heard of), that seems to have exactly the same info, so don't know whether the OZB post copied the info from Top Bargains, or vice versa.

Staff, Family and Friends Special travel offer

Revenue Management has also provided an exciting offer for you and your friends and family to use. There are great discounts on a selected range of base fares, with 30% off selected Domestic, 40% off selected Trans-Tasman, up to 45% off selected Short Haul and 15% off selected Long Haul International routes. Travel is for February and March 2016 for Domestic, Short Haul and Long Haul, and May to June 2016 for Trans-Tasman.

This deal is only available through the public website by entering this special promotional code: LQZ26. Fares will be on sale from 7 December 2015 to 13 December 2015. You will know you have secured a great deal when the red promotion tag is applied next to your fare. The best news is that there is no restriction on who can travel so feel free to pass this amazing deal on to your friends and family.

Please note the following:
• As these are commercial fares, full terms and conditions apply as per the website and ticket purchased.
• Staff travel cannot assist you with bookings, changes or cancellations.
• Bookings are only available online, and subsequent changes/cancellations must be made on the website or through the GCC.
• Promo code discounts do not apply to sale fares.
• Discounts are valid on VA operated services only.

It works! Great find!

It's not the 7th yet!

I just tried it on a domestic sector and no promo flag appeared and no special price either.

Has anyone got a link to the T&Cs? There doesn't appear to be any clarification yet, as to what constitutes a "selected range of base fares".

EDIT: I found a sector (MEL-LST) with the promo applied. Only on saver fares by the look of it.

Brilliant - can find wide availability in Feb for some SYD <> BNE flights we need to take at $93 each way

Staff, Family and Friends Special travel offer

As this is a staff offer (presumably VA staff), I wonder if points and SCs will still be earned.

Seems we don't have any VA staff here on AFF that are prepared to share the Ts&Cs. If anonymity is a perceived issue, feel free to PM them to me and I'll post them!

Those are the terms and conditions. Please read it
"As these are commercial fares, full terms and conditions apply as per the website and ticket purchased."

They are normal commercial tickets with normal t&c per saver fare rules etc. Points will be earned as per the normal rules.

I dont think it can be more clear personally

I would hope so considering it says it's a commercial fare. I'm a little hesitant to book now haha

EDIT** I just booked flights for my mum MEL-PER and booked into S class. She can earn a few measly points for $380 return flight

Not bad, thanks for sharing!

Just on Savers by the looks of it. Found MEL-PER for $165 each way which is pretty good, but only interested in Flexis for this route.

OK. Then exactly where in those Ts&Cs that you posted up (thanks for that, BTW) does it state which sectors are the selected routes?

I see that the "with 30% off selected Domestic" is also utilising VAs selective misuse of words as well. The fare I mentioned earlier is not 30% off. It's 15% off. Still nothing to be sneezed at, but not exactly what they're implying. Perhaps 30% is off the highest saver fare bucket, potentially not the one currently for sale.

Extra info (from a relation/VA consultant). I can't bring up any useful flights for us but hope this helps someone!

Thanks. That's what I was hoping for. The funny part is though, that list does not show MEL-LST which I showed in the post above yours (in fact it doesn't show Tassie at all as far as I can see). It's also not all encompassing as the list shows the routes that are supposed to be included, yet the screen shots I added above clearly show 2 MEL-LST with the promo applied but a third option on the same day, did not qualify.

Most likely that'll be because the promotion doesn't apply to LST, the promo is only being applied on the first segment of a multi-segment flight - e.g. MEL-SYD.

Ah, Ok thanks for that. It makes sense, except I also searched OOL-LST and nothing came up despite all OOL-LST transiting either SYD or MEL. OOL-SYD and OOL-MEL are both in the promo.
