Click here for a list of current Virgin Australia discount codes:

A while back VA had a discount code that could be used for (almost) any domestic booking.

Are there any discount codes that work at the moment?

Thanks!

Last minute deal that runs until tomorrow night. 20% off domestic network-wide flights for travel between 23 December 2015 to 29 February 2016. Use coupon code LWX78 at checkout.
The 20% discount is only for domestic flights that still have M, S or T class inventory available

Struggling to get any of these to work for me. Looking at booking MEL-HTI from 28/12 - 2/1. Whether I put in a promo code or not (have tried multiple codes) the pricing comes up the same. Do all of them only work on certain fare-class availability? I assume you just put them into the "promo code" box next to the "find flights" button?

Many of the codes had to purchased at least 21 days out.

Just used GPR23 code successfully NTL - BNE return..

Noticed something when I selected my seats: all the seats from row 1 to the emergency exit seats and the last 5 rows are not available on both flights.. but you are able to buy the emergency exit seats for $30 tho

What's your status? The front 2 rows are business class and will show blocked unless you bought business fares, row 3 to row 7 (I think) show as blocked unless you are platinum and then rows right through to the exits show as blocked for all except for gold (I think). The exit rows show as blocked unless you buy them. As for seats further back, I have no idea but probably blocked for crew/unaccompanied kids and other airline discretional seating which will be allocated by the airline staff.

I'm PS with VA and have seated as forward as row 5 - 6ish.. or when the front is busy/unavailable I just seat on the 2nd last row, which I found it's another quick way to get on and out of the plane.

What i found estrange is that both flights have exactly the same pattern: rows 1 to 11 and 22 to 25 all unavailable, all 4 rows and I'm the only one seating alone.

Has anyone seen this when the discount code got used?

i rang velocity to enquire front rows and why this doesn't show, pretty much advised that passengers have already booked which i found ironic.

That is extremely unlikely.

I made 2 bookings using the same discount code, a return trip in February and another NTL - BNE in February and BNE - NTL at the end of April. All 4 trips showed exactly the same pattern.

It doesn't bother me at all but I think it is a very weird "coincidence"

Does using these codes in any way affect your points or status credits?

Points, yes as you earn points based on what you paid (eg 5 * amount paid for saver).

SC, no.

(Unless the terms of the code specifically state otherwise, which I'm not aware has ever occurred)
