Virgin Australia to lease more 737s

Did Virgin keep the KLM Charge points in these -700s which they had under the seats originally?

Very few QF A330's transcon currently.
I suppose they do come and go but at least their QF) 737 have some business seat choices. Also more legroom perhaps down the back of QF737a compared to VA 700? Regardless I think around 5 hour flight is justification enough for a biz option on a busy trunk route.

True but I was replying to your A330 on QF post.

VA actually has the most generous legroom in the Y cabin of airlines in Australia

However I think Rex 340s beat them!! Aren't VA legroom on the 737s just the same as Qantas? Think the VA F100 pretty much top the list.

The -700 appears on all transcon runs occasionally. As mentioned above, they have to be cycled through PER regularly so it's the necessary evil.

According to the open pilots forums (some here know which specific forum that is) more ex-MI/SQ 738s are rumoured to be now on the way to VA (were they originally meant to be for REX?).

MGC, MGD and MGE were originally rumoured to go to REX, but I'd suspect they'll now end up at VA sometime in Q1 2025 after D-Checks and when SQ's leases on those expire.

Depends on the lessor really, if the lessor doesn’t have a relationship with VA they might look elsewhere, I recall some of these Rex aircraft have come from far afield.

However a few do seem probable that they will go to VA as they have the same lessor as VA.

Now Rex has folded its 737 services (last flights today), I wonder if they'll end up back at VA
Oh gosh have they really? I feel sad. It's a shame that Australia just can't hold 3 airlines plying the market. I know.peole blame management but frankly is QF and VA managed any better?

My guess is that the two ex-MI/SQ 738s and maybe 2 more from the bsi-VA or Jet Airways lot may only need to be towed over to the VA hangers. The rest gets repo'd out of the country

None of the VA aircraft that went to Rex have the BSI.

Those two SQ 737s ending up at VA would be interesting. They are registered after Sharp and Lim...

I believe VA have stated they are receiving another 2 ex MI planes. This was before today, so possibly a few more I guess?
