Virgin CBR-SYD flights restarting

They refused to rebook you onto Qantas?
They were not the slightest bit interested and I felt like the person I spoke to had zero ability or inclination to do anything anyway. I also complained that they don’t refund the credit card surcharge (again only this time the cancellation was their fault). They directed me to customer care but for the tiny value of the surcharge on that flight I decided it’s better not to build up a record of complaints and save them for bigger things.

Out of interest was this the overseas call centre or did you speak to someone in Australia?

Tray of cookies and cups are retrieved from the overhead compartment directly above seats 1B/C for the trolley service so there may be limited storage capacity if seated in row 1... There is a round hole in the tray table which the cup fits into, preventing accidental toppling (and saving on overall weight?)

No different to most ZL flights to regional Australia (and ZL are also flying the same equipment SYD-CBR).
Difference is with regional you don’t have a option so I’m more than happy to do it.
No way am I sitting in a cramped Y seat when there are better options on the SYD-CBR route

Seat configuration for those not familiar:

It's interesting to see they still have that odd back row seat in middle. I got stuck in that a couple of times when Kendall did the route for Ansett way back when. While I had a seat belt on, I was looking straight down the aisle. But, that's still not enough to attract me to be back on a Saab 340 when I don't have to.

The Dash-8 planes that QantasLink fly on this route are pretty much just as cramped. There's an occasional jet flight, but they're few and far between.
I fly regularly for work to PLO and WYA aswell as other SA regional and whilst I don’t enjoy the cramped seats I’ll put up with it because that is the only option. If a route has a better option then that will be my choice

I am surprised that seat isn't EconomyX given the legroom
