Looks as good as it tastes, very average.

Awesome Mel Lounge experience this afternoon, welcomed at the doorin a manner like concierge at a hotel, travel partner and I invited to find a seat and offered champagne at our table by a cabin crew member. I assume one of the ones that work there when they are injured etc... An extremely pleasant way to start a tiresome journey.

Started the years business travel down to CBR for the day.

Sydney Lounge - offered to bring my coffee to my seat, regular clean ups (unfortunately they dropped a dirty knife on my suite trousers but responded ok). Plenty of bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Canberra this afternoon, didn't worry about food, but drinks were offered to be refilled as they cleaned up. Lounge relatively quite, but thought service was excellent today.

Most of the photos in this thread so far indicate to me that a child who is learning to cook is in the kitchen doing the presentation and food choices.

Not entirely the child's fault though...
A child whose parent is giving them an incredibly tight allowance and telling them to make it work!

The hot dogs appeared for a nanosecond in the BNE lounge last night and presumably were all gone pretty quickly (we debated buying take-away and bringing it back into the lounge to eat). Nothing else on offer except some 1 sad looking Chicken and Corn Soup with the other option seemingly absent/exhausted and only the usual ingredients of a toastie available. The frozen yogurt was a nice touch, though but I thought overall it was a bit of a poor effort for a week night.

ps: whats the deal with the BNE lounge extension? I have not heard or seen any activity at all since around November.

That's quite funny, we used to complain about the hot dogs - we have what we have now - and thus people scarf up all the hot dogs when they return.
