Anat0l and Samh004 I won't be doing the JQ express but would love to hang for a little bit, but not at the expense of someone doing the JQ express - I want to relax in SYD and drink nice tea.

Are you sure? There's a spa in the SYD T1 F Lounge, and they serve T2 teas (pyramid bags).

Just kidding - totally understand. Happy to stay a bit in SYD T3 a bit to cool the heels before you head off.

My spotting into the lounge meant pre flights in BNE and SYD.

Which should be fine, since I have 2 guest spots, so unless a huge number of non-elites come there should be no problem.

btw: I have a QF voucher from a cancelled flight, can I multi-city it, eg. BNE-SYD/MEL-BNE?

You can, but unfortunately you can't do this online. You'll need to call QF and cop the Telephone Assistance Fee.

Same flights as you Taezar, except on Saturday I'm taking the JQ35 express for a F Lounge run after we land in SYD. Happy to arrivals-guest for a cup of tea etc. before you go into SYD and I head to T1. Of course, you're also welcome to join JQ35...

It's amazing how surprisingly simple it can be to get a gaggle of Golds or a Swarm of Silvers, or even a Pack of Plats to turn up to some events!

I'm giving Anat0l's plan some serious thought (and tied in with Taezar's flights)... Assuming I take the plunge it will be booked tonight.

So there's another Plat sipping the nectar of the gods and eating a meal from King Perry.

If I were to come up on JQ36, which arrives SYD international at 10.35am, assuming I could convince a MEL-based WP to come with me, would we be able to go straight to the Flounge and hang out there until 3pm even though JQ check in is T-3?

Probably not, seeing as you'd need a valid boarding pass to access the FLounge in the first instance (and JQi doesn't do online check in IIRC)

Just searched for it again and still there (JQ35 SYD-MEL on 30/07/2011), so not sure why you couldn't see it. $59 for JetSaver Light; $10 more with checked bags. Or for those wanting to splurge for SCs, $329 for Star Class.

Lawlass also suggested going for the price match. Yeah - suppose I could've done it. Ah well, so I'm about $20 in the hole - meh - and that $20 would've come to me in the form of a JQ voucher. But please - let this comment not stop anyone from price matching, especially if the JQ price goes up.

Hehe I was being naughty in suggesting gamer speak wasn't cool - knowing full well how you spell your name - which I shouldn't if I want Lounge Lubins.
As for the JQ35 - I was playing with the wrong dates.

Flight down is on QF507, then JQ35, and I’ll be staying in Melbourne and flying home on QF624 the next day.

I’ve selected exit row seats on both my Qantas flights, and nothing on Jetstar.
