The service, or lack of, is not the main concern.

The reason I refuse to fly JQ is the way QF has thrust JQ upon us and handing them certain routes and not leaving people with a lot of choice and then totally confusing the websites by including JQ flighs in QF flight searches. I do not want JQ to succeed in their present form.

Now if JQ was a totally separate entity, and in no way related to QF or QFF, with low airfares then I would consider flying them as I would consider flying Air Asia, Tiger etc. Probably would not use them very often but I would at least consider using them....

Indeed. That's how I view it. Actually, getting F lounge access is *compensation* for having to then fly JQ!

I agree but I am sticking to the decision I made in 2004 as a matter of principle.

I think there are at least a couple spare at the moment... I'm sure we'll manage to get you in (usually we have plenty of spare WP invites for the F lounge).

My guest spot might already be taken (Am I guesting samh004?, although if Taezar is going to join the Run, then I'll save my spot for her) but there are another 2 or 3 WPs already attending.

I’m guessing both you and anat0l will be fighting over who is guesting Tae, if she joins us, but if not, you’re both more than welcome to fight over me

Something tells me I need to do one of our workshops in understanding Peer Group Pressure.
If there are still flights available after I get paid again, I will go on the JLounge run.

No, No, No. We travel in style! The itinerary planned gives F lounge access in SYD International, including Champagne, canapes, a meal and even possibly a massage if one of the friendly masseurs can be rustled up.

Then it goes downhill from there. JQ flight, walk between terminals.
Slight improvement means that we then head to the QF J lounge in MEL, and onto a QF flight back to SYD.

I am contemplating JQ35 but can't confirm yet. I will however be staying in Melbourne (as per my previous post) and may just do the Melbourne Open House on Sunday.
