Sounds like a plan.

6C for me. I'll keep an eye out for any A/C changes that may allow me to move further forward (such as the reconfiguration of rows 4/5 to be economy, or the conversion to a 738) :)

Well, surely it's the only reason for catching that flight. You'd be crazy to get it if you didn't have lounge access IMHO - the extra effort in going through customs, and the LAGs restrictions make it totally not worth it if it wasn't for the F lounge.

You do get some strange reactions though. The last time I did the JQ run the whole days flights were on the one QF itinerary (CBR-SYD,SYD-MEL,MEL-CBR) and the man at the J lounge was quite puzzled as to why I would want to do that :)

Seating wise on the JQ flight - I'm currently in 28A, although someone has now plonked themselves into 28B (damn, no shadow on JQ :)) - so I'm contemplating moving (unless that's one of us in 28B) :D

-Shaun

It's Lawlass... But don't worry Shaun, you'll have the seat vacant as soon as she moves to 1C ;)

Historically speaking though, Lawlass usually seats herself next to me during the boarding process - not before :)

How can you tell your seating allocation? - I can't see my seating allocation (and I haven't paid the $4- to select a seat as I got the flight for 57 cents or something silly like that).

I'm on a Starter Plus fare - which includes seat selection :)

Oh no, oops.

You may have seated yourself next to a member of the public..??

You know.... Those other 4 people on JQ35 who aren't on AFF ;)

Oh? It's gone up? Last time I checked it was three.

Who is flying back out after the F Lounge run? I'm heading back to OOL on Virgin. For those of us who are only staying for the day, maybe we can arrange a post F Lounge, lounge meeting in either the QF J Lounge or Virgin Lounge?

:P

I haven't selected a seat - will take my chances and will probably be in no state to care anyway.

I'm keen to have a look at some of the Open House stuff too, but will play it by ear depending on how I feel Sunday.

We did J lounge til it closed last time... then someone thought it would be an adventure to get back to town by public transport...

There are classic awards avail.
I'd have to go down half hour earlier
and come back biz.

Hmmm ... Should I come down.

For what it's worth...

Anybody can now go online to jetstar.com and do webcheckin, you get all the way to the end where instead of getting a boarding pass you get a 'This is not a boarding pass, please proceed to the customer service desk at the airport"

Which means.... You don't have to sit in the long queue. :D Straight to the customer service desk!

I wonder what time the customer service desk opens :o?

And more importantly I wonder how early they can hand out boarding passes for JQ35?

edit: I guess we'll find out on Saturday, I just checked in :)

I like to think I am the sane and responsible person on this forum, thus my opinion should hold a lot of weight...
After careful consideration my response is.

I hope we’ll be doing that again, I’m quite poor right now :p

I can guarantee you’d have a good time if you came :p

No seat allocated here either, I'm taking the lucky dip option! after all how could I possibly go wrong with Jetstar?

I am however deeply concerned about all the AFF members security with us all travelling at once on the same flight.
What a better opportunity for Qantas to rid itself of 3 billion frequent flyer points and a stack of NPPP consuming Gastronomes :P

last time I was in the F lounge I had some of that yummy ice cream, good show indeed! I hope it is still on the menu.
I wonder if i can get my $84 fares worth of ice cream alone? - I do like a challenge!

Since it's less than 48hrs, you can now choose a seat for free. I am in 38B.

I’ve put myself in 40B. I was given 25J but I want to be closer to the toilets… because I’m sure by then I’ll need to go. There’s a spare seat next to me. Please don’t let it be stranger ;)
