Just to clarify (the thread is too long to read), is any of you staying in Melbourne after your run?

I'll be in MEL that evening.

(You can tweet me on www.twitter.com/skkng)

I live in MEL, so I will be around, although possibly going to a gig later in the evening

Well I know for a fact that Sam and myself are spending the night in Melbourne and flying back to BNE on Sunday. Original plan was to help drewbles celebrate his birthday, but I believe his plans have changed, so current plan is to get some dinner then find somewhere comfy to stay out drinking all night, then hit the QP at 5am when it opens to catch up on breakfast and sleep before our flights home.

Got it in one! My sister may also join us if I end up at the Exford in Chinatown… for a game of darts!

Would be good to catch up again… :)

I'd love to attend (particularly the JQ Flounge run), but after just returning from a 7 week sojourn, my ability to go for a weekend is very limited (unless I took the whole clan). At this late stage, cost will defeat me (plus my kids swimming on Sat AM).

Will have to go inthe Big Fat Piker column :o :(

Now the important question, who is doing what in terms of Saturday night?
I'm flying back to CBR after dinner in the MEL J Lounge, what are others doing?

No one ever reads what I write it seems.

You will find me in Sydney this weekend, just not flying to Melbourne on JQ for some F lounge time.

You better add me to the "Loser Who Has to Work Saturdays" :mad:Once some of you come back to Sydney then I should be free for a few drinks, but the flying can wear you out.

I read what you wrote before, I just didn't think it needed a response. Plus, I won't be in SYD anyway, blame the others.

I can't stop myself from reading this thread - but it just makes me upset :(

I'll be cursing you all from the office on Sat!!

Arrh this type of F lounge run is for the truly dedicated. I did this last year, a night to remember, but not likely to be repeated :)

This time, taking my time to visit Yarra Valley, flying back to SYD on Monday JQ 3 for a 2nd F lounge feast. Can guest if anyone wants to join in the double fun.

My plans are all confirmed:

- 30th: CBR-SYD: QF704 @ 0955
- 30th: SYD-MEL: JQ35 @ 1500

Time in the afternoon is then free for drinks/dinner/whatever, but I will need to drop my bag off at the hotel and be in the city in time for Love Never Dies at 8pm.

Sunday I will be exploring Melbourne buildings as part of Melbourne Open House. That wraps up at about 4pm at which time I will head into the airport again for:

- 31st: MEL-SYD: QF454 @ 1730
- 31st: SYD-CBR: QF883 @ 1950

Not a status run (I don't need the SCs) - I just couldn't bring myself to pay $430 for the 1900 direct flight; I'll try and get on it at the airport instead :)

I'll see you at CBR on Saturday morning... Nabbed Exit row (provided no A/C type changes, although last time that worked out well for me as I ended up in Row 4) for CBR-SYD and 1A for the 1900 MEL-CBR direct on the way back home...

Whilst on the phone with the QF rep (I think his name was Ben, seemed quite friendly and helpful) he asked why I would be flying on JQ35 from int, where I told him about lunch in the Flounge, - his response "Good work...". Me thinks he was quite impressed by the idea...

Sounds like a plan.

6C for me. I'll keep an eye out for any A/C changes that may allow me to move further forward (such as the reconfiguration of rows 4/5 to be economy, or the conversion to a 738) :)

Well, surely it's the only reason for catching that flight. You'd be crazy to get it if you didn't have lounge access IMHO - the extra effort in going through customs, and the LAGs restrictions make it totally not worth it if it wasn't for the F lounge.

You do get some strange reactions though. The last time I did the JQ run the whole days flights were on the one QF itinerary (CBR-SYD,SYD-MEL,MEL-CBR) and the man at the J lounge was quite puzzled as to why I would want to do that :)

Seating wise on the JQ flight - I'm currently in 28A, although someone has now plonked themselves into 28B (damn, no shadow on JQ :)) - so I'm contemplating moving (unless that's one of us in 28B) :D

I thought it was me for a second but I am in 26B! :D

Hi everyone.

I'm flying to NAN on Thursday Aug 4 from SYD.

I'm SG. Are there any WP travelling that day that would be kind enough to invite me into F lounge in SYD (I've never been before...)

I'll buy you a drink.....;)
