My apologies Sam, right you are, my mistake :)

I was back in the F lounge 2 days later and they were concerned that we didn't hurt ourselves ;)

Raises hand a little :), was Danger and I that decided to see how bad the cleaners were :)

Would be good to get all the lounges setup again...

Just picturing the The shocked faces on the JQ checkin staff to see a crowd queuing up over 3 hours before the flight!

Fingers crossed they open on time at exactly noon.

Unfortunately they usually open around 12:15 or later.

However the checkin for JQ73 may still be open....

Man I looking forward to tomorrow, I've had a couple of insane weeks and I plan on making up for it by drinking my weight in champagne :)

Anyway just to confirm, I'm on QF507 to syd and will try and be at bne around 6:15 or so. I'll be the big ginger guy with glasses reading the new Jim Butcher book in the J lounge.

I'm also keen on continuing on in the mel J lounge (or wherever) afterwards since I'll be flying back to bne at 7pm.

I also have a "this is not a boarding pass" but since I booked everythign through QF website it has bne-syd and syd-mel on it. The super worrying thing is that i've been assigned 58E on JQ35

I forgot to print out the thing that is not a boarding pass and now it's gone and I can't get it back.I hope I didn't need it, seeing as it wasn't a boarding pass and all.
I printed mine out but now I can't find it :oSo ditto what you said!

I recieved an E-Mail this morning from Jetstar reminding me I have a flight tomorrow.

Of course, I know it's from T1.

But apart from the very small line down bottom saying it's from Sydney T1. There is no mention that this flight departs from an international terminal.

It's already mentioned at booking and on the itinerary, no big deal.

Um Folks.

JQ35 was cancelled today.

Crikey. well maybe thats a good thing and we will definatley get on tomorrow then. - insert whatever positive spin required to make us feel better about tomorrow.

You mean today's JQ35 was cancelled?Any idea why? :(

I'm trying to get hold of a contact at Jetstar. I'll report back what I find out.

Yes - Today's JQ35.

The SYD-MEL leg was cancelled. And the MEL-DPS leg is delayed a few hours. I'm guessing the plane was coming in late, and they cancelled it not have the aircraft to head to SYD and back. Gets it back on time earlier.

Tomorrow's flight is still there - you can still buy tickets for it. Last time they cancelled a flight I was emailed with an option to book another flight which i declined and booked QF instead. I got a full refund..

Right, I'm all confirmed and ready to go. Being unemployed and waiting on large contract payouts to clear is a nightmare.

See you all there.

I'd say they haven't made a decision on the flight yet. Until then it is everything as normal. Nothing to panic about, just something I'm keeping an eye on.

My understanding is the plane is normally circulated:
JQ30 BKK 2215-1 MEL 1020
JQ30 MEL 1200 SYD 1325
JQ35 SYD 1500 MEL 1630
JQ35 MEL 1830 DPS xx_

appears delays on JQ30 today (arriving 2000), then doing direct turnaround as JQ35 (departing 2115)
JQ30 MEL-SYD still operating (using what plane I dont know)
JQ35 SYD-MEL cancelled.

so we need to look at whether JQ30 is on time tonight...
(or not given JQ30 doesn't appear to operate on Fri, so scheduled plane must be from somewhere else)

I'd suggest today cancellation is more to do with positioning than loads. I've been on JQ35 where there would have been less than 100 people flying SYD-MEL.

So are you really light or were you including the glass in the weight calculation :p

And it did look quite busy when I checked-in.

Hoping all goes to plan.

Familiar ground for those that went to the wake via JQ35 in Jan.

Was just thinking that.....

And remember how packed the checkin was? And how they were so kind to offer a JQ flight from the domestic terminal sooner if we preferred ;)

And how did you all respond to that offer? Derisive laughter? ;)
