Westfield XS card

I don't have one so I don't know it if works, but as an alternative middle layer you could consider DirectIng to an fruity debit card. Not sure if it works, but you can deposit to it with cheques and cash when postal so there is a possibility it would work.

As an added bonus until EOFY you get a further 5% off when using the touch and go payment methods at other shops and a PITA .25% rebate when withdrawing $200 out of EFTPOS, leaving your normal bank account to repay the CR card. This would make the cycle a bit less obvious.

Of course this only works if you can pay into a DR card with a DR card.

The main problems you're going to have it the card that you select savings won't allow cash advance - this is required to reload a WOW.

Pat's Kookaburra can only be used as credit which again can be a limitation. As has been mentioned, ATM's are available consult the heretic's site to see who they use (in SA there are a few extra!).

I had an encounter at the Chermside PO barcodeless. The staff member suggesting swiping my card to see what would happen. I have no idea what that's about, neither did they. Maybe my lack of banking experience with AP is showing but few seem to know how it works fully.

This is an excellent card for paying bills in a convenient way at Australia Post offices. I am told that the is a trial self service machine at the City Cross PO in central Adelaide. I will let you lnow if I have any more info.
Be interested in PMs from anyone who has recently paid a cc bill from the not country bank

PM sent

Positive experience

Anyone done an ATO bill over $3K using Xs card on Self service ATM?
ATO form says Limit 3K a day?
Do you need to make TWO trips to complete high than $3K tax bill?
Do you get a confirmation printout?

Paid more than 3k but at the counter

Can you use same barcode and type in any amount please?

Mate, I suspect you are going to be the one that tells us. But one question: would doing something like that draw any attention? Just asking as I don't know anything about the payments system. I am GUESSING the ATO wouldn't care

Either at the counter or ATM machine....Does it allow you to type in the AMOUNT you wish to pay?
So $400 bill does it allow you, to enter $1600 and then you swipe two $995 XS cards?

I went for a walk with the dog.

Not in the country*, give me credit.

Thanks to those who assured me it was possible, when about 6 PO employees told me it wasn't. Found a bloke who knew what he was doing today. All over in 5 seconds. No fuss, no bother, no questions. In the words of the twitter folk...totes amazeballs

BTW that last post was very tongue in cheek...albeit entirely true. Because of requests for discretion. There is enough information in the thread for anyone who is interested. We don't want any cows in plate shops

I think I mentioned it over on the ATO page, but I have a great relationship with the local AusPost manager, as I have had a PO Box there for ~10-15 years. He is usually willing to have a good old chat over transaction(s).

I think I have tought him a thing or two about what AusPost can and can't do over the years :p
