75 k bonus points appeared in my QFF account today with first statement having reached the $3k spend.

Lost 106 points for this double application :( Nearly have met my spend to get my 75,000 points :)

Mine dropped from 766 down to 620 from the Westpac enquiry alone :eek::eek: That is by far the biggest hit I've seen on my file from an enquiry.

Went from 816 to 784 after applying for ANZ Frequent Black & the AMEX DJ in quick succession.

Partner went from 796 to 727 with CC bounce but no issues with another lender a few days later

Any confirmation on whether having the westpac amex impacts impacts your ability to get sign up bonus's direct with amex in the future (I am 6 months into my 18 month exclusion period and do not want to restart it due to the westpac amex).

However, reading the impact on the credit scores, may be best to just apply for the visa and leave the westpac amex out altogether?

Hi All,

I just finished a year on my Amex Ultimate card, and cancelled the card to avoid another annual fee without receiving more bonus points (I was hoping they would offer some bonus for me to keep the card, but they would not).

I am looking for another card to apply for for more bonus points and minimal annual fee. The Altitude black seems to tick this box with 120k bonus points potentially for signing up to both Amex and MC. But I note that the Amex card is run through Amex itself, and it makes me wonder if I will eligible for bonus points since I just cancelled an Amex issued card. I can't seem to find any terms regarding bonus point eligibility relating to having had another Amex card, so just posting here to see if anyone knows?

Thanks!

You will be eligible for the bonus points.

There has been extensive discussion about this in the thread associated with this card. Seems you'd still be eligible for the bonus points, but it may impact upon your 18 month exclusion period for other AMEX issued cards (but this is still to be confirmed).

Thanks for that. Looks like I asked in the wrong thread. Sorry about that!

Anyone having issues with being charged the annual fee $150 for the platinum card standalone?

I applied for it back in June I thought under the no first year fee offer but was charged the fee...

Can’t find the original offer details and I didn’t screenshot the offer so I’m not sure how I can get it refunded. Tried asking in a branch but that was useless...

Unfortunately, if you didn't keep a record of the offer, I think you are going to have a very tough time getting the fee refunded.

Applied under the original offer of this thread. All 90 points have now been received and no annual fee has been charged.

I’ve just got my St George Amplify and made my 4K spend for the 90k points. Does this stop me applying for this offer and any other amplify/ Westpac owned bank CC offers to get points? I read T&Cs quickly and couldn’t see exclusions but I could have missed them. TIA

No you will be fine to go with westpac as although they are the same group they are separated. Bendigo and bank of Melbourne I think it is are same deal as St George and can't go to them as considered the same offer

BoM is with the Westpac outfit, but Bendigo Bank is not.

Is this normal folks

Applied for the lower entry Westoac visa card and approved mid July. Made the minimum spend end of July.

Now. Mid Oct. Bonus points not arrived.
Addmitedly. After month one I've stopped using it except for once

Not in my experience. Have you received the points for your regular spend? If not, you will need to call the rewards department and make sure they have you frequent flyer number. Many report the number not transferring from application to account.

I better call them tomororw, I havent used it except maybe once since I made minimum spend,
so I might be one of those that didnt get any points :)

can anyone confirm that the carbon offset purchase triggers the qantas spend required to get the lounge passes? or any other options aside from buying an exit row seat.

Can’t confirm, but would think yes. Taxes on a reward flight or a qantas voucher do.
