Just confirming that the basic westpac altitude plat visa standalone doesn't come. With Qantas lounge passes?

My original. Link has gone

amex paid the 15k bonus point 21 days into activating the card after I hit the required spend. I have 3 other direct amex product. :D

Can you clarify please as the bonus is meant to be 10K extra from Qantas and 40K for gaining the card and reaching $3000 spend within 90 days.

So what is listed against your 15K?

What I meant was, I signed up the westpac amex + westpac platinum with 15k + 75k altitude qantas deal. I achieved the spend and now all the points will be paid on 14/09/18. Its showing up as 15k bonus on my westpac amex account with 18k points sitting there.

I applied for this combo. They posted out my card to a Westpac call center (only found this out after googling the address). Have no idea why. I called back and complained and now they are sending one via Courier to my home at their expense. Should be here in 2 business days. I was surprised I was approved for the Amex as I already have 2 Amex cards- Edge/Explorer.

Should be no problem to apply for the David Jones Amex as well. You'll get the welcome points for that too. I won't put my referral up but you can check the appropriate thread. Earn rate ends up being 2.25 QFF of you spend at Supermarkets/Petrol from the last time I checked?

Just received my Amex card. Westpac should be arriving tomorrow. Can I cancel my Amex card now without activating it and it affecting the bonus points on the Westpac Visa? I just want to use the Westpac Visa card to get my 75,000 points. Or should I leave it inactive until I get my points then cancel both?

Why wouldn’t you meet the min spend on the Amex and get the extra points? You’ve already taken the credit hit.

I wouldn’t think cancelling one would affect the other.

Yes I did take the hit and I knew that going in. But I would rather use that $3k spend on another card (HSBC, etc) that would net me more than the 15,000 points that the Amex would.

Just buy $3k worth of eWish cards from Cash Rewards and use them for the next x number of months. Sure you'll need to make the $3k payments sooner than consumption but that would be worth 15k points.

I'm juggling a few cards at the moment for sign on bonus's and in a normal course of spend unlikely to hit the $3k for Amex, probably $2k - so unless I go out and splurge on something I wouldn't necessarily need (or did xmas shopping earlier which is a realistic option), then I'll just buy eWish cards to make the balance.

Or buy these:

Woolworths gift card thread

At no fee they'd be better value to you as you can spend them at more places.

Earned points have posted on my statement, and 1ppd was awarded for rego and Ergon energy.
Does that mean that this spend will be eligible to account for the minimum spend too? No bonus points have posted as yet, $3300 was spent including the rego and electricity.

As far as I am aware, amex westpac is really fast at showing up points. bonus points will be awarded quickly and sitting on the account. Make sure you also call up amex to get the other 3000 bonus supp card points before 31/08/18!

:D

My partner has this card. Points including bonus have showed up on her statement. However nothing has transferred to her QFF account.

Westpac advised her the problem is at Qantas end, which I don't believe since other points are successfully crediting. I can see they have the correct QFF number - any ideas what else to advise her to pursue?

Maybe the name on the QFF don't match what they have on the profile. You may have to include any middle name that is declared on your QFF profile. Like westpac have to register Timmy T Lee, not Timmy Lee if the person's QFF Profile is Timmy Lee.
