What cheeses me off

This problem is across the board
I dont know the answer but i think it has to involve the use of apps. But then it needs someone to design one that can link into varius systems without having to duplicate data entry

Dischrge planning remains a very labour intensive manual task
Re: meds and escript (I had the sms from the docs, so it wasn't really an app) but still...
It (escrip) was good for me for 2 out of 5, repeats.
On the end of the 2nd, start of the 3rd, the phone escript didnt copy to the next month, and it hadnt extended for the rest of the 6 months.
It said the 2nd had been used up, and the system viewed that as the last issue, tho I had a few more months to go.
Lucky I had still got the paper issue of the scrip from my last visit to that same chemist.
Will go back to paper from the chemist, and keep that.
In some instances, having a paper copy is better than e malarkey.

I have never had joy from e Scripts. I know there were 5 rpts but somehow after three dispensed came up as all rpts used. Happenedx2. Back to paper

Being delayed departing from Port for refuelling isn't an issue. Usually. But when it's Saudi Arabia and alcohol is banned until we are 30 minutes from port, amd it's 7.17pm and the bars are closed, the party is dry and we booked a wine pairing dinner for 20 minutes time. 😤

Ta for that one, Martine.
At least I know I am not the only one.
The doc started doing it when the older doc retired, and the younger one took over.
(((No more bulkbilling with a lot of docs these days..., I have factor in $110 at the least, $40 will get back from Medicare, but still $70 from my pocket, doc said they will probably start charging soon, they have always bulkbilled everyone (!)))).
But the chemist, they probably knew the downside of escrip.
They printed out the paper QR code scrip, and I will keep it with that.
Wont mention to doc about it tho.
There is probably already a link in the national chemist system, when a doc enter details via Medicare or something, that prevents people over medicating.
===
To get back tow what cheeses me off.
Ever noticed how, when you give in your script to the chemist, they always say, "it will be ready in 10 mins", a lot of people then go and go and do their shopping and then come back.
That is the thing I don't get.
Its not that they (chemist) are busy "grinding the tabs/pills!".

I have had this happen at Chemist Warehouse. It means they didn’t send the script back to your phone, you should get a text message before it’s ready. When it says “already dispensed” tell them there are still repeats left and they should scan it to see…………..or go back to paper 😉

That "already dispensed" was the exact wording.
So after the 2nd, that came up,
And no new ones after that.
Ah, so its more prevalent than I thought.

I actually load mine into the pharmac_ app with the escript
We only use one pharmac_, advantage they are open long hours and if need be will delivery
Lol I blanked out my medications :)

You should have stocked up in your room!

Well, it was a bust. Most cancelled their booking and the restaurant was deserted. To make matters worse they gave us the wine pairing menu, but 'You can't order it, we thought you'd like to see it". Seriously? So they asked if we wanted water. Ok. We decided then to go to sparkling water. Crew brought it out. Looked at it. No bubbles. Tasted it. Flat and warm. We commented on it to crew. Oh. Our sparkler isn't working. Sigh. Then the couple next to us arrived. "Which would you like, sparkling or still?" she asked. "Oh Sparkling" please. "Oh", she said, "our sparkler isn't working. " 🤣. "Just give me water " he says exasperated. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up.

The meal was supposed to take 90 minutes. We were done in 35. It is an arty restaurant, you know, a blob here. The first course was a corn chip, the size of a 20 cent piece. Gone in 5 seconds.

We don't get free alcohol in our room, the neighbours have a suite and they get free booze in their fridge. They've been stashing it in their safe as it is replenished every night for free. Us? We are stashing the chocolates and nuts we get for free. 😏.
A few months ago a Silversea ship which I think was the Spirit spent a few days in Saudi waters. With Silversea everyone gets free alcohol in their fridge. But when in Saudi waters it was removed and some rooms were checked by Saudi authorities. Some though had stacked up by putting it in their suitcases under their bed.

We thought their safe stash was rather clever but they only drink bourbon. We had the Saudi authorities everywhere yesterday on the ship. One with so many stripes his arms must be weighed down. I thought some said he was the Admiral of the Saudi fleet? 🤷‍♀️.

AusPost. Parcel sent to me via Express Post. AusPost app advises it’s been delivered. No knock on the (open) door. No calling out from the AusPost contractor that a parcel has been left. No AusPost contractor sighted (despite me having clear line of sight to the aforementioned open door. No parcel to be found (either in plain sight or left in a “safe” place). Hopeless.

Use the safe in the room. Occasionally a souvenir room item falls into mine just as I am putting in the combination

Continuation… logged a missing parcel claim yesterday. Received a call this morning to advise me that the parcel was delivered. Better yet was that the parcel was handed over to the recipient in person. Informed the AusPost staffer that this was most certainly not the case, at which time she noticed the driver’s comments indicated the parcel had simultaneously been successfully delivered, handed over in person to the recipient AND had been delivered to the wrong address. No ability to retrieve, can’t tell me where it was delivered due to “privacy” (ignoring that they’ve just breached my privacy by handing over my name and address to the wrong recipient) and that my only recourse is to contact the sender. Awesome work 👏🙄

They should be able to provide a photo of where it was left. They also have GPS so they should be able to retrieve it if you push hard enough.

Well what do you know? A phantom AusPost driver has just dropped a box at my front door. No calling out that there was a delivery. No knock on the door. Just a dump and run. Amazingly, it’s my “lost in transit”/“irretrievable”/“handed directly to the recipient yesterday” parcel. Happy to have received the goods (finally), but such a poor experience where the left hand clearly doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and there’s zero regard for the customer.

For what it’s worth, AusPost will be receiving appropriate feedback.

Maybe the contractor ran out of time to deliver and just marked it as delivered.

Even though I don’t agree with the practice of marking a parcel as delivered just because you ran out of time, I would find it difficult to believe that this is actually what happened given that the email confirmation of completed delivery was received at 1:59 pm.
