It's OK to slurp dry noodles, smack your lips loudly when eating and generally eat with open mouth so everyone can see the food moving around in your mouth like a waste disposal.

But if you pick your nose, burp or fart in public it's rude.

FFS.

Slurping your food is considered polite in some countries.

Ramen in Japan springs to mind.
Definitely a cultural thing. (And not just ramen in Japan - nearly any noodles)

In Japan, it's really bad etiquette to blow your nose in public. If your nose is on the run, you either wipe it off, sniff it up or find a place away from public to blow.

In China, hacking and spitting is not considered as socially confronting as it would be in the west. Western norms and hygiene (to some degree) is reshaping this but mainly only in more cosmopolitan urban centres.

But not in Australia or any western country. I dont want to hear you slurp food - if its too hot wait a moment for it to cool. And absolutely no one wants to see your semi chewed food, disgusting.

When people keep sniffling and snorting snot back into their nose it makes me want to wretch. For goodness sake, grab a tissue and blow your nose and dispose of the used tissue thoughtfully. A dainty blow of the nose makes far less noise than constant sniffling and snorting, not to mention is healthier to expel than keep inside.

Spitting on the street is not only disgusting but hastens the spread of colds and flu and possibly other diseases.

Claiming cultural norms as a reason to disregard hyenine is nonsensical.

Not so much cheesed me off, but outright pi**ed me off.

I was doing a winery tour in Moldova and waiting for the tour to start, there was an obvious another Australian lady who was quite loud, seemed like a very bubbly personality.

Well, turns out she was enjoying a bottle of wine while she was waiting for our tour to start. She brought the bottle and a glass along on the tour with her, which involved golf buggy transport and then walking around sections the winery.

Talk about being obnoxiously loud. Became obvious she was several sheets to the wind and absolutely made an exhibition of herself.

Unfortunately, when I asked one of my own tour group, an American chap, about the rule of being able to throttle someone from your own nationality on a tour without penalty, he failed to confirm, so I wasn’t able to do that. 🙁

You can still block the messages if on an I device
I can but I don't always want to block them because I may go back. My issue with texts is they don't often have a stop button

I've used that several times for an organisation in Victoria that is continually sending me marketing emails even though I've had a conversation with them several times and they say it's sorted. I've lodged it with ACMA several times and never hear anything and it keeps happening.

Or the number you have to reply to costs money...

Did you ask her out for a drink? :) :)
Was she an “Influencer“?

ps: Americans aren’t good of advice without guns.

I know none of those things are OK. They are disgusting and the people that do them like to judge others for doing something they don't like.

One of the first things I taught my 7 year old daughter was to eat with mouth closed and not make too much noise while eating.

I am stunned at just how many 6-7 year olds in her class eat with mouth open, smack their lips and other horrible habits.

Delivery drivers (couriers, Uber Eats, etc.) who ignore the special delivery instructions. Especially Uber Eats.

Now while some customers might be outright unreasonable, sometimes I need to send a delivery to work. In order to make sure the driver knows which entrance to go through and ensure they meet the right person at the right time, I put specific instructions wherever there is a space to specify it so.

And then they completely ignore the instructions. Delivery is delayed, driver doesn't understand why customer isn't there, we play a game of cat and mouse. Unnecessarily annoying.

I realise Uber Eats drivers get peanuts for their service, but I'm not trying to make your job harder than it should be.

Seen this often. Reading is not part of the job apparently.

I flew JQ today. Domestic.

And I checked in a bag.

The flight wasn't cancelled.
They didn't weigh or size bags at the gate at all.
The onboard crew were fantastic.
Boarding was fast.
No bogan or eshay behaviour at all.
No yelling from point to point.
We arrived early.
My checked bag arrived at my destination.

Dammit... where's this JQ experience everyone's talking about??! 'Cos I missed out completely, and I even bought a Max bundle! 🙂😁😅
