What cheeses me off

I can already imagine the complaints (and WCMO posts) if they were to attempt something like this. You can never please everyone. How many people go to self check-outs because they prefer to bag things their own way? I\

Only in relation to online delivery. People don't have a choice now how things are bagged and it seems (based on posters) they are charged a flat fee whether 1 bag is used in packing the items for deliver or 100 bags are used.

How do you byo bags on an online order (as opposed to click'n'collect) ? Genuine question
In the UK you have the option of using/paying for bags, or not. It's simple really - the without bags option they'll get you to unpack from the crate at your door. Often they just put the stuff in bags anyway...... but at no cost to you, given you selected for none.

Much the same here. Or just take your own bags.

For an online shop? Sure, you could take your own bags to the front door .... or you can also just carry it from the crate to your table/fridge; same diff. really! The driver is happy to wait.

WCMO MICROSOFT!

They have just changed the behaviour of Notepad for W11 in recent update (without warning I must add) so it now by default opens all previous opened documents instead of the one you want.

Worse thing about the notepad change - use a program to say edit a text etc then click the close button for any program always has a prompt to save the edited document. They have just broken one of the basic principles of interface design for the last 30 years

Seems ony numpties moonlighting as developers for Microsoft these days.

I believe they are trying to emulate Notepad++, et al.

Open up again and your edited document will be there, still "unsaved".

Been in place for some time now, pretty much makes it more like things like EditPlus, Notepad++ etc. so just lining up with the times and following the pack I suppose!

Slow down to near zero kph due to ā€˜roadworksā€™ ahead
But
No bollards, high-vis humans or work of any sort being down
But
My vehicle alerts me speed cameras ahead so I do slow down whilst practically being rear ended by those who dont

I didn't realise you were in Tasmania?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but cannot find LA Ice Cola on Woolworths Online. Coles Online says currently unavailable.

It has already been withdrawn from many stores and now looks like it's gone from Coles Toowong too.

At $2.00 for 2L it's fantastic value. There's no way I'm spending $3.60 on Pepsi or $3.85 on Coke. Both Coles and Woolworths generic versions taste awful.

I drink up to 10 x 2L bottles a week. Off to Kirk's cans but I will miss Cola.

?????

That's at odds with what @JohnK was suggesting. And just checked - $2 for paper bags for home delivery from Woolworths, $1.50 from Coles.

Edit: oops sorry I misread, I thought you were saying "paper bags are free" but re-read it and it is "fee" not "free".

Havenā€™t drunk any Cola since August 1994 as I was hooked on caffeine in coffee and Diet Coke. Addiction was fixed when I had a general anaesthetic to fix my arteries.
Being addicted was a problem.

Just spilt a bag of dry quinoa - cleaned it up and put it in the green waste bag. Went to empty the green waste bag and the bottom fell out. The green waste container is on the top of three level trolley so now there is quinoa all through everything in the trolley and all over the floor.

Vacuum it all up and then discover the end of the roll of green bags are obviously shot because the next bag split and more mess.

Take the vacuum back to the laundry and dry quinoa falls out all over the floor in the laundry.

I give up and I'm going out to dinner and I'll wash the floor tomorrow

mybad. Should have been free. They are for us anyway. We pay a subscription for the delivery, maybe that changes things.

I ā€˜openedā€™ some of those green compostable rubbish bags I bought instead of regular bin bags. Every single one of the 50 had already self-composted in my pantryšŸ˜‚
