What cheeses me off

Oh yes - I had that the other day

And the w@nker just got up to get more food and I'm feeling ill seeing the biggest bum crack for year
Don’t you feel tempted to go up and sit next to them and animatedly say hi , how are ya to the person on the call or photobomb the facetime video.

‘WTF’ they say

Oh I thought we were all invited to the call/meeting and thats why you are on speaker

Is getting calls from a Number witheld caller ID saying they are from Citibank and please press 1.
I hang up as its obviously a prank call

Then I find out the citibank card has been disabled.

I call citibank only to find out they have been trying to call me.
And Citibank now = NAB (who should absolutely know better )

Mind you, for me at least, Citibank have form when it comes to dodgy business practices. I recall them calling me up to advise they'd cancelled my card and were reissuing a new one, but were "not at liberty" to explain why?

But I haven't had any issues with my card?? It's ok, we're sending you a new one that you'll have within 7 business days.
But I've had no fraudulent activity, no technical issues? How am I meant to use the card now that you've cancelled it? Understand sir, but you'll have the replacement within 7 business days so nothing to worry about.
But why have you cancelled it in the first place?? I'm sorry sir, I can't tell you that, but rest assured that your new card is on the way.
Oh, I see. So you've had a data breach then. **silence**
So exactly what data of mine has been leaked? I'm sorry sir, I don't have that information. But you'll have your new card shortly and there's nothing to worry about.

Hopeless...

Oh, yes. I once got a call from a No ID number on a Saturday morning (???). This was a few years ago, so I answered it. Person said from Westpac, calling about an issue I've been having (I had). Asked me to ID myself with DoB etc etc. I laughed and told then why I wasn't going to do that, until they IDed themselves to me. Oh, no, we don't do that. Call ended.

It was a legitimate call when i called them back on Monday.

I don't understand why any legitimate business calls from a number witheld ID. In this day and age, who answers such calls?

The ABC does this. I sometimes get called by the local radio to comment on particular issues and they later ask me why I don't pick up.

I had this too, only it wasn't Westpac. I don't recall now which bank it was. It does seem daft to be asked to ID oneself when they have called!

Yes I had a Telstra sales rep. call a while back (it was a legitimate call) and he started mentioning something about a new plan offer which sparked some mild interest in me to hear what he had to say but then he said to continue the call he needed to confirm some of my personal details (he already knew who he was calling!). I said no, you don't get to call me unsolicited and then tie me up proving who I am and I terminated the call.

It's simply weird the way organisations expect you to ID yourself in those situations. I don't give them anything but I just tell them that as they've called me then that's all they are getting. If it was a spammer, and you did give them details, then you can bet that the relevant organisation would refuse any compensation because you had given those details out.

Hospitals & police block their IDs
As does DIL who is a GP. Thankfully she now knows to use messenger and messenger voice.

Well, they shouldn't. They have nothing to hide.
Yeah. They hide their privacy because they deal with all kinds of people. I understand why.

Hospital don't do that generally for people like me. Imagine if I am on call and NoCaller ID pops up. I don't know it's the hospital and I could just ignore and go back to sleep.
Yes, that would be a problem. Maybe it is some of the specialists I have been in contact with. I usually ignore them but somehow did pick up and discovered they were necessary calls, if that makes sense.

Don't let your kids go to the airline lounge buffet alone.

You may think your 12 year old is responsible but I don't think shuffling the first 2-3 plates around touching each one is very responsible at all.

So I have an e-toll account with a tag in Sydney and a tag in Brisbane.

Looks like the tag in Brisbane is not working as it wasn't detected using Legacy Way 3 weeks ago and I was charged the toll via video matching which comes with a 58c video matching fee.

Have sent them email and they are basically throwing all the blame on me and to give them proof. Sigh. Went through Legacy Way again today. Doesn't look like it has registered again.

So how do I avoid the 58c video matching fee by paying with the $80+ in my e-toll account rather than paying with credit card via Linkt? You'd think it'd be easy but it doesn't take much to confuse me.

Bring back toll booths and dealing with humans. This is dumb.

Yeh, that never cheeses anyone off, as people get stuck in traffic waiting to clear toll both .... And if you're paying someone to sit their in a toll booth to collect money, bet your bottom dollar that it will be at least 58c higher than the current tolls.

My Linkt tag didn’t beep the other day so I just reported it “beep less” online and they’re sending me a new tag for free and reversing the manual processing fee.
