What cheeses me off

Yeh, that never cheeses anyone off, as people get stuck in traffic waiting to clear toll both .... And if you're paying someone to sit their in a toll booth to collect money, bet your bottom dollar that it will be at least 58c higher than the current tolls.
I'd factor putting toll booths into all the points in Brisbane would slow them down a lot to the point that the "benefits" of taking those tunnels would evaporate.

But hey, the processing and system would be infallible, right?

Linkt and all the other toll companies have pretty awful customer service and support. I don't see how anyone thinks it's conscionable to run a business with poor support - maybe everyone who did an MBA is taught that support services are just pure cost sinks (viz. no profit) so they deserve the least attention in the business.

My Linkt tag didn’t beep the other day so I just reported it “beep less” online and they’re sending me a new tag for free and reversing the manual processing fee.
My Linkt tag doesn't beep on the Clem7 exit from the AirportLink for some reason.

However, due to Last Known Plate, I still get charged the toll, but with no processing fee tacked on.

When you have a monopoly service, for sure. When there is competition it becomes an avenue to set yourself apart and several businesses do so.

Looks like @SYD has had good experience with Linkt. E-toll is rubbish and their customer support non existent.

Current tolls are exorbitant. Think Legacy Way is $6.50 which is really ridiculous. If it wasn't for me picking up wife at work as late as possible as my wife has an appointment in hospital I'd be going the long way in traffic via Toowong/Milton and suffer the traffic.

I wonder if the Brisbane M5 is going to have a toll when the Centenary Bridge upgrade is complete in a few years. That's a very captive audience with a very long trip if needing to avoid toll.

I'm renting a car with Sixt on Sunday. I just received an email to say they have changed location and it was copied to over 30 people who are also renting from Sixt.

I replied with a very terse email and they rang me to apologise. Not happy Jan

OMG - now one of the recipients has just replied all.

However I believe you are breaching gdpr requirements copying my personally identifiable information into the CC part of the email. I am disappointed you have now shared my email details without my permission to what appears to be other customers and it is not a good start to my experience with Sixt.

UK or EU, or other place for the rental?

UK

So now the culprit has replied all to say he's sorry and it's not Sixt's fault

And then another woman has replied all and said don't worry we all make mistakes

Did she point out he referred to GDPR rather than UK GDPR, which is different, and what was breached?

BTW on my previous WCMO post here is proof they are full of BS, 1 adult booking for tonight and the difference between the breakfast rate and the breakfast and dinner rate is 400. If it only gives 200 why would you book it? Just making it up as they go.

Alright, now I'm really cheesed off. Someone (maybe security screening at TNR?) broke the lock on my bag (TSA approved lock, but I guess it means nothing outside USA) - I've only just noticed as I went to open my bag at the hotel and then realised ........it wasn't locked....... and, someone has stolen my cologne. Nice.

Paging @Denali !

Check the result of a soccer match on Google and Google keeps sending me notifications. Takes multiple "not interested" to remove the team from notifications.

And then Liverpool plays Brighton and I follow Liverpool but Google then keeps sending me notifications for Brighton.

I don't want to turn off notifications but I wish Google would stop trying to predict what to send me.

Banksy Art show in Sydney - tickets booked thru some mob called Fever. OK it’s the modern way, scheduled entry times to ensure it’s not too crowded, scan a code, get tkts on yr ☎️ and off you shoot.

Great show, blokes done a lot more than girls & balloons, and we’re really enjoying it until a large swarm of school kids overruns the rooms, running jumping scragging shouting and disrupting the viewers. They fill the AV room, nobody can see anything and that part of the show is lost on us. So we decide to leave, having seen most of it, but not in the quiet contemplation it deserved.

A few days later, one of those follow-up ‘how did we do’ emails from Fever.. well, that was an opportunity not to be missed, so I told them and suggested a couple of tkts for another viewing might be a remedy.

Nothing heard til this week, a month after the event, when another email from Fever asks ‘is there any way we could improve our service?’

well yes, Fever, there is something..

WCMO is when you see boxes of Gaytime are on special so buy one. Get home bite into a bar, find it tastes insipid only to realise you grabbed the bloody "Plant Based" aka fake ice cream version. Yuk!

I think vegan versions need to be called something else entirely, plant based juice like soy mikl or almond milks are NOT milk.
