What cheeses me off

LOL - yeah, they cant make a profit out of me!!!
How dare I not give the banks extra money from late card payments. Naughty me
True
Its like gambling - the profits come from those who have least money to spare. Before I retired I made sure all my CC limits increased as knew I would never be granted more cards or higher limits as debt free and somehow banks think retirees live on fresh air..

Is it possible to withdraw $$ from the mortgage account? 😯 I thought mortgage gets paid directly to who sells the house?
Yeah my suggestion was not actually possible.
Actuaries are very good when it comes to profit & risk, the possibility someone might get a Black credit-card & pay it off on time every time, by taking-out a mortgage they didn’t need & then paying it off, would have occurred to them long before me!

ANZ made a big mistake with me - gave me a $30K Black card not long before I resigned into semi retirement and its linked to an account that pays it off on the due day every month. In 20+yrs they have not had one cent in interest.
Same with me, but they do get the annual fee and the merchant fee on every transaction. Banks never really lose. 🤣

I'm seriously struggling to understand who would use a BBQ and leave it this way?

I cleaned and cleaned and this the best I could do. The other one was worse.

In our holiday house, which we do let out as an Airbnb/Stayz property the BBQ can be a pain. The worst is that it has been used several times as a coal BBQ - yet it is a 4 burner gas BBQ. Coal all below the burners. Almost ruined it completely.

………… are alleged 4* hotels that do not have a working TV in bar or restaurant or wherever except your own room so you can watch the tennis tonight - looking at you DoubleTree Northbridge 👎🏻

Cant you just watch on your phone or tablet? Unless it is a sports bar i would not expect the atmosphere in a restaurant to be ruined by tv.

Northbridge does not approve of the banality that is “sport”.

Northbridge also does not approve of low-brow banality such as “pub” or “bar”.

Listen @Cruiser Elite get out of that Northbridge Hell Hole and go down to Margaret River as early as you can.
You have to watch all the speed limit changes as you pass thru non existent road works. That is just a revenue raiser.
With wine it does become a personal taste test so do try several wineries.
I will be working my fingers to the bone while you relax.

James St Bar at DT hardly a Michelin restaurant - and I have seen a few others walk out when they leant TV shagged

I am in Northbridge tonight to sack my state rep at the same restaurant where I first employed him 5 years ago.

I will be on the doorstep of my first stop in MR at 09:00 morrow morn and then I have 22 stops as I work my way back to NB morrow aft - then I have dinner with my new state rep morrow night in same restaurant where I am finishing other guy tonight

Another 35 or so visits to customers next 2 days b4 heading home Thu - hardly a junket - but I digress

Wait … some other state dares have a suburb called Northbridge?
I am surprised real Northbridge hasn’t sued.

ANZ blocked my VISA debit card today when I tried to pay for $80 of fuel at the same petrol station down the road I've used for 10 years and the same card I've had for 3 or 4 years. Fortunately I have another virtual credit card on my phone.
Apparently it was flagged as a suspicious transaction. 10 mins later I received an SMS (with the transaction amount, last 4 digits of the card and merchant) asking whether or not is was me. I replied "yes" and they "unblocked" it after 15 mins.
This is the same card I have used all over Europe and Sth Africa and never once was it blocked. Nor was it blocked 10 mins earlier when I bought groceries at the Coles across the road from the petrol station. There's no logic as to why it was flagged.

Something must have plinged on their systems for it come up to block the transaction.
Lucky you have that 2nd virtual card.
Am thinking about setting up NFC with a 2nd card on my new phone, haven't done it yet.
Supposedly, NFC is the new fangled mobile system of the future, so many people use it now, not to mention pointy finger id or thumb id to open up phone, wow, now that is a thought, why can't we use thumb prints for id, Malaysia uses it.

Why is it so difficult to deal with most businesses.

Bought my daughter a Lebara Sim for $10 with 80 GBs included for 30 days. It reverts to $39.90 for subsequent 30 day recharges and if you have auto recharge next 2 months there's 10% discount.

So what do you think they charged last week? How much time do I have to waste to get the $4 back?

……… BO stench on driver in Taxi / Uber / DiDi - seriously BO on Uber driver in PER tonight almost took my breath away - and I ain’t precious - stench beside the rendering plants in our abattoirs years ago would make your hair stand on end but this dude tonight took it to a whole new level 👎🏻
