Spartan 15 by Michael Fidler. Absolutely beautiful piece of kit. Black front, silver body. Lovely improvement to the sound stage compared to the Cambridge Audio one I had, and some instruments I didn't hear before are now coming through with beautiful separation. Love it.

It puts the stuff Graham Slee makes to shame, which are 2-3x more. Measures/tests better, too.

I put on a few LPs the other day and Mrs FB said "this sounds.... better? Have you changed something?". I just chuckled and pointed

Dodo charged $25 in June when I asked to cancel a service. Spoke with customer care who confirmed service cancelled and will not charge anything.

Saw $25 charged the same day.

Complained and back and forth a few times and early July mentioned they will refund as a gesture of good will. LoL.

Fast forward to December and no refund. Replied to last email mentioning that I am taking matter to Ombudsman. They've replied back saying they are confused why I've not been refunded.

See what happens this time.

Just lodge a TIO complaint, only takes 5 mins... if you get refunded before it gets looked at great, if you are still not refunded, the TIO/dodo complaints team will do it...

Plus the TIO charges Dodo a fee

WCMO Price Attack.

Public service announcement: Do not order from Price Attack they are dodgy.

OPI has discontinued my favouirte shade of polish so I thought I ought to buy a spare bottle before it is unavailable altogether. Price Attack had a good discounted price and also another item i needed so I placed an order.

They email me this morning to say the other items isn't available (so false advertising stock they don't have), then a second email just now saying its illegal to deliver dangerous goods to PO Box so would I provide another address.

I just told them to cancel and refund the who order.

The cant deliver to a PO Box because nail polish is flammable is utter bs, I ordered nail polish from two other sites in the last fortnight and product were delivered to my PO Box without any issues. I suspect real reason is they dont want to use AusPost for delivery so invent this bs excuse.

Off to order form someone else.

WCMO is companies that send you your year in review stats well before the end of the year.

For example Spotify and Qantas.

Qantas sent annual summary today, yet there are still another 12 travelling days before 2025 and I will be flying again in that period, still have credit card points to drop etc. Would be better to send these out on 1st Jan when actual year end is known.

WCMO is that everything I bought on black friday sales or since (even the 8 orders I did on Amazon last night) has arrived except for the one item that is actually a gift (and not for myself like the rest).

Ordered gift on 24th November, website said 3-5 days to ship; they have only just registered the parcel with AusPost this arvo.

I suspect its not going to be here for 24th Really hate having to put a picture of what hasnt arrived in a card with an apology that it "is on its way"

That sucks. That 3-5 days to ship is a con. They don't say how long it will take to get it ready to ship. That's burnt me too. AP have been really good to us lately with even a Sat pm delivery - - so fingers crossed for you.

I'm so used to weekend deliveries in the UK, I forgot about backwards Australia...!

Had a call yesterday as we were pushing back, our new sofa is ready and would we like Saturday or Sunday delivery so we'd have it in time for Christmas. Bzzt, thanks, but too late, not back till early Jan.

WCMO is the mega department created to appease a certain polly (who is no longer there) that is too big to be competent.

Partner has been an Aussie citizen with passport (and a taxpayer) for 30+ years and never had an AU issued visa nor travelled on a special visa (arrived in the country with Aussie passport obtained while overseas).

Received a letter from Medicare saying his card is cancelled because his visa class as advised by Home affairs department is no longer eligible for Medicare benefits.

Really? I have to have a jacket on all the time when I’m inside the ship? My cabin? At breakfast?

No. WCMO is their inability to write a coherent sentence of what they mean. What they mean is in the dining and bar areas you have to wear a jacket. Which is stupid enough in the tropics, but is it really so difficult to form those words in print?

WCMO ... spending 45 minutes walking around trying to find the shuttle (in -8 weather, feels like -16 according to our weather app), and then nothing by 11pm (which is the final shuttle time), so spend US$30 to get an Uber to the hotel. When we get there I asked whether there was an issue with it running ... to be told you have to call the hotel to get it to come. Nowhere on their website (checked both desktop version and app) is that mentioned.

Oh well, a couple of hours sleep then back to the airport at 6am.

thats like Outlander. Short cut in 2020 due to obvious. Then next two seasons shortened again. 2023 they filmed the next season but only showed half. Waited a year and are now showing the last episodes filmed over a year ago.

Guess we've almost finished Diplomat too then but am finding her more annoying this lot.
