It started off fine. Just an aside for a bit. A change. CAA scoffed at it then realised the crowds loved it. In the beginning. So the next year they made players wear shirts with funny nicknames and generally coughised it. The next year they played way too many games. Crowd got bored and tv numbers slumped. This year it was a shortened season. But yes. It’s a mess and a boring one at that. States like SA had to drop their name for the team - red backs. Now I don’t know which team I’m watching because they all play swappy teams so there’s no point in local allegiance as it doesn’t exist.WCMO: T20 franchise cricket.
Anyone know who won last IPL? Anyone know who won this years fried chicken slog fest in Australia? Or is that not really the point: is it more just an immediate sugar fix that is quickly forgotten when moving onto the next ‘maximum’, sponsored of course by obesity and lolly water.
