What I ate today - the food thread

For my birthday, we went to Alberto’s Lounge. We had their Pesce crudo and Burrata for appetizers:

For main, got their Linguine al nero and Ragu d’Anatra alla Veneta:

And for dessert, we got their raspberry mousse with a little candle to blow for the birthday celebration:

Not flash like the things I am seeing here, but I was proud of dishing this up - my daughter loves fried potato in all forms, so this is my attempt to make it into a vaguely healthy product! Greated potato and egg patties that are fried, with intensely fresh salad garnish - cherry tomatoes, coriander, grated carrot, a fruit similar to mini tomatoes that my grocer sold me (ochubas??) spring onion, and all bathed in fresh lemon juice with liberal dashings of salt.

What time of day does the reservation window open?
Overhyped?
12:00 p.m.

I don't think it overhyped - some dishes were amazing, others very good but not amazing. The attention to detail in serving is impressive.

Service was impeccable and definitely not rushed, the seven courses plus the extra little bits and pieces took about four and a half hours.

For lunch the seven course set menu was $340 a head, which for me is not something I would do often, but considering the labour and food costs, I wonder how profitable it actually is.
