What I ate today - the food thread

Having eaten Asian for the last 6 days and another 3 weeks to go, this steak for about AUD$20 was a no brainer at my Hanoi hotel.
At first I thought it was a little on the small side but with mash and vegetables, it was actually plenty. Nice pepper sauce too and the steak was perfectly cooked.

This was lunch on the recent 2D 1N Halong Bay cruise I did.

Seafood Soup, very nice and the taste reminded me of chowder in the US

Chicken Salad was delicious.

Deep fried prawns (in a coconut batter).
I had 2 serves declining the offer of a third. The Vietnamese would probably eat the whole thing whereas I cut the head and tail off.

Beef in gravy with fries. A big let down as the beef was overcooked and dry, the fries were cold. I didn't finish the dish. Should have asked for more prawns 😂

Fish in plum sauce on a bed of salad with rice.
Now the lunch is back on track.
