What I ate today - the food thread

Apparently its National Donut Day... my office is patiently waiting for my husband to pick up/deliver a couple of dozen!

My Practice Manager said the same thing to me when I arrived - I groaned as I had just shopped at Coles and could have picked up something :o.

This was possibly the most beautiful version of eggs benedict I have ever eaten - visually spectacular. I am not usually into highly decorative food, but this actually impressed me! It was in a cafe on the waterfront at Moolooabah - I really regret I cannot remember the name of the place, as it deserves recognition.

And just to balance my eating habits, the below photo is of a far more usual meal, taken while waiting to do a river crossing in the jungle in Colombia:

Simo and I have eaten at Char and it was great.

None of those names seem familiar! This was a small place on the esplanade, I am sure very near to "Ben and Jerrys" on google maps - I have even tried to look via street view on google maps but there is too much in the way to see.

It was at the Pullman Brisbane - getting my monies worth from my Association fee (''twas a National Roadshow)

It does take so good... But yes, everything in moderation i suppose...

And with the sugary variety its easier to guzzle it when your 24 than 44 and not have quite as many repercussions....
Tastes great. I used to drink 6 buddies of Coke a day. Then stopped when the ulcer arrived.

A number of years back discovered the diet Coke/Pepsi drinks and all good. Have a Lift/Fanta every now and then and love Creaming Soda but mainly 2-3 cans of Coke Zero/Pepsi Max/Diet coke a day for me. When I'm in a lounge like today I may drink a little bit extra.
