IMHO the only thing that makes Dubai better than the equally excreble Doha is dining outdoors at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel staring at the Burj al Arab. It really does suck me in.

Hard to photograph, but the clams dish (effectively risotto vongole) as a starter was to die for (it was listed as a chef's signature dish). Never had better risotto.

Washed down with a Rias Baixas Albarino. Worked nicely.

I just spent a 30 hr epic trip on Asiana eating spicy beautiful Korean airline food - was awesome. So much so I was so concentrated on the food I never even thought to take out the camera :)
 
As much as I enjoy all the fantastic culinary experiences showed here, when I started this thread, it was also to share and enjoy far more simple things. Recently I was in Paris, and is my thing, I wandered, far from the hotspots, the throngs and the famous things. And as I walked I was hungry.

I love bread. French style especially. And a simple "sandwich" with such is as great a meal as any restaurant.

And I found it.
