And so after the wharf, and the market this morning, dinner was the following:
Let me think how Qantas would describe the meal......
"Fresh Chilean Sea Pollock, panfried in Danish butter, accompanied by a lemon-dressed tomato, cilantro and Elqui Valley red onion salad, and toasted fragrant rice".
But I am uncouth - I had a malbec to accompany this, and ate it all with a spoon (as we said in my army days, "anything you can't eat with a spoon, you can with your hands")
Extraordinarily good meal from Simon Roghan at L’Enclume in Cartmel this week. Some say this is the best restaurant in England at the moment. I could accept that. Food brilliant and excellent staff.
After consuming a few drinks in the club lounge, then ‘sampling’ the free but pretty decent bottle of shiraz in my room, felt the need for a room service pizza - pretty awesome. Actually I should say it was near PERfection. Hyatt Regency hotel.
After the pizza the night before I somewhat redeemed myself with something called ‘Green and Grain’ the next night. Certainly was green. And pretty good too. Again at the Perth Hyatt.
A french country salad with duck breast, bacon, parmesan, egg, lettuce, tomato. Super delicious. From a french restaurant called Tangor in Luang Prabang.
