Damn that was good - thanks to Hilton Perth Diamond vouchers and Amex $50 credit when spending $400; it only cost me $12. Value

@Rugby I've been trawling through the thread looking for ideas.

Some Q's...

Would you recommend The Orfila?

Recommendations for food and hotel San Sebastian and Lisbon?

Cheers

@amaroo - missed your note, so sorry for the tardy response :)

The Orfila was great the first time we stayed, but had some issues the second time around - noise and service issues. We would choose somewhere else in Madrid next time. We had a club room at The Intercontinental in Lisbon and we were happy with it, and I’d stay there again. In San Sebastián we stayed in a little pension, Casa Nicolasa - I rated it highly for its category of accommodation.

In San Sebastián we did a great pintxos tour with Devour Tours and that set us up for return visits to our favourite bars from the tour during our stay. In Lisbon we became fans of Jose Alvarez, and he has a variety of restaurants in Lisbon and I think you’d like his food and establishments.

Cheers Rugby

Thanks @Rugby

Helps immensely as I tossed a coin the other night and booked a different MAD hotel. Will line up on your food recommendations - should be a very tasty way to kick start 2019 :)

Cheers

LOBSTER BRIOCHE ROLLS with LEMON MAYONSAISE

@GPH is the Chef. My ‘other husband’ brought me the ingredients from his home in the Western Pacific, and my Secret Santa posted me 6 bottles of Turkey Flat Rose.

Chilling out listening to Xmas music and doing a test run for a Luncheon tomorrow

Slightly different from the recipe as these are actually Painted Crayfish.

Today whilst mindlessly lazing on the couch I cruised some Youtube - and discovered a real gem - Salt Bae. He is a crazy Turkish meat chef. I loved his stuff - especially how he salts the food. I declared to my family I had found a new God - now they want to disown me :( Blooming vegetarians....
