Re: F seating on Qantas A380

K seats for me, the most private in my opinion. I was surprised just how much K overlooks F and in turn F overlooks A.

I couldnt agree more K side far far more private. but would take A or F any time over economy :D

when you are 1A you do not notice. :p

As long as you dont mind the proximity of the toilet or the noise of the stairs :D Give me 3K anytime best seat in the house and only 10 seconds behind those in 1A getting off the aircraft :D

I have been in 1A twice and I did find it a tad noisy. 3K is also my preferred seat. (2K and 4K are next for me. I have sat in both and they are just fine and dandy.)

As a footnote I should add that 1A doesn't get overlooked because there is no 1F......but it is that little bit noisier.

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

Thanks for your replies - I'm thinking keeping 3A as it's a window, which I don't mind when I'm not in Economy.....as long as there is nothing to worry about, having said that 5 being near the galley could be an issue. And row 1 being up the front near the toilets.

I have had 3A on several occasions thus far to LAX, and it is a great seat, especially when the partitions are raised in the centre row, you are approximately in the centre of the F cabin and you really do feel like your in a private suite. However, as others say...there are no bad seats in F.

LOL. I'm sticking with 2K, 3K, 4K. Twice was enough in 1A for me. Wouldn't pick it again.

Interesting, are you able to take a photo or two next time you are in a K seat to see how much is actually being seen?

If I board early I will. I'm not a big fan of photographing people I don't know on aircraft. I find it intrusive when it happens he other way around.

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

But thats the same as any other seat in F !

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

Personally I'm not a fan of 5A - the closet to the right is used by the cabin crew and it can be annoying when they keep opening it (with the bright light inside) during sleepy time.

5K is my favourite, and when flying with my wife we prefer to sit in window seats in adjacent rows rather than than across an aisle - 4K and 5K being our preference. I would certainly try to sit on the same side of the aircraft (F & K) rather than having one person sit in A, as you need to cross over through the galley or the toilet area to get from the A aisle to the F & K aisle.

This is one of those threads where personal preference really comes into play. There are no bad seats in F on the A380. My personal preference is on the A side. I sat in 2A when I did LAX-SYD in April and really enjoyed it.

I have previously sat in 5A and also enjoyed that seat. Although I have read comments that there may be galley noise. Another thing to note about 5A is that it is the seat for those with babies so you may be moved if required.

I usually select A or K based on where the sun will be when I awake from my slumber. But hey, aren't we all different

Galley noise hasn't been an issue to date.

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

As the others have said no bad seats in F.
Need to consider you have to do a lap to the galley (or front) and back the other aisle to connect between 3A and 3F.
Also the row F seats don't have an overhead bin so I would do both A seats, both K seats or A-K flying together.

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

Princess Fiona you're in my seat :)

I've done 3 trips in 5A and loved it everytime.

That said - the last flight I did have a "little" bit of galley noise - and combined with whY now being physically closer - have chosen 3A for my next flight.

Looking forward to comparing the experience.

Thanks to all who replied - your feedback has been great! I've decided to turf the A seating and am now sitting F and K both ways so very happy! I'm very excited - first trip ever in F and at 500k points I'm sure it will be well earnt and worth the wait!
Cheers Hammer
