I was under the impression that tolls were on top of quoted Uber price.

Ordered Uber at SYD T2 and told driver no tolls so he drove via Bexley not M5 tunnel.

On the way back to SYD T2 a few hours later told the lady driver no tolls. She told me the price quoted by Uber includes the toll. So we used M5 tunnel.

Did the first driver pocket the toll money? Wish it was clear up front on the app and I may have missed it.
I read somewhere.... Uber includes the toll, but Didi excludes the toll.

Yesterday I realsied Uber green is the same price as Ubex X. My logic was they'd probably be newer Chinese electric vehicles. Both trips they were hybrid Camrys. So at least a decent size.

Outbound trip the guy had two phone calls. First one, on speaker phone so we could hear the convo (although not in English). Second one a different phone rings and this time speaker phone but driving like this

That would be a one star review for the driver doing such a dumb thing with paying passengers in the vehicle.

I would ask him to put it down and report him

Surely Uber cannot defend having a driver on the books who doesn't know, or flagrantly disregards, the road safety rules? I too would be reporting him and asking Uber to remove any retaliatory review from him.

That's not how it works

Yeah nice story, Uber do not remove ratings
I'd remove myself as a rider then. If that, or a rider rating, actually mattered, I'd have no issue going more public about it. How terrible do Uber come off in that news story? For serious issues, it's a garbage system if they allow a driver to negatively impact my rating because of their actions.

Its a garbage system from both sides of the coin when everyone expects a perfect score every time...unless changed by driver or passenger the default should be a 3...normal service.

Many drivers will rate 1star for a short trip etc.

That's the system and Uber is and has always been pathetic and it's why I do anything to avoid using them or any gig economy service

In London and Paris recently, private cars arranged by the hotel or taxi's, simple
