I missed the post, interesting reading and looks like I need some new stems though they look a bit weird to me.

$48.60 @ Auswine last year :)

Plumm has an eofy sale at the moment. Buy 2x twin packs and get the 3rd free plus 10% sign up first purchase bonus. $89.95 per 2 pack brings it down to $54 per pair.

I swear last year I got Plumm really cheap, like much cheaper than these prices.

I wouldn't mind some of the Pinot/Chardonnay shaped glasses tho.

Myer has up to 40% of glassware, yesterday had 10-20% CB too.

Just picked up a set of 6 spiegelau definition burgundy glasses. Very impressed for the price for a 120g glass. They look very similar to Zaltos burgundy just not hand blown.

thanks, 6pk $159 delivered ($26.50/stem) - also universal, champagne, bordeaux

plus Schott Zwiesel Vina 6pk $39 ($6.50/stem) - water, burgundy, champagne, bordeaux

add $1 bottle opener to use VBWELCOME $20 off $199 spend:

The spigelau above are still $159. Be careful though I'm already down one. They are very fragile.
Thanks. Just found them here for cheaper and they sell each for $20 incase you want to grab a single.

I got some of the Speigelau BBQ/Whisky glasses in the Christmas sale last year. I now have none left, every single one chipped or cracked. At the same time I have 20 other cups and glasses doing the same things and not an issue with one of them.

That’s a disappointing outcome, kevviek - but useful for the rest of us. Sorry! ;)

I decided to sample a set of the Champagne glasses, to test against the Zalto. They look good - but one was broken in transit. Have put the survivors through the dishwasher a couple of times without an issue, so we shall see how they stand up to a workout.

It may he fanciful but I don’t think they feel as good to use. I’ve not yet done a comparative taste test, though. :)

Have you looked at the Gabriel's, wafer light, just don't hold stem while drying them, the Gold is the very light and the standard is more durable.

Yes, but the Standard is not light at all - I don't really have a use for them besides to bring to picnics.

GGG are always lovely when we use them, we have more Zaltos so they tend to get more use as they just seem to be around, but there was a period where I would just want to default to GGG.

BRxJR are nice for whites.

Veritas we don't tend to use as much, as I broke one of the PNs... so only 1 odd glass. For their cab/syrah I don't necessarily gravitate towards using them.

I have been giving the Spiegelau versions of the Zalto a robust work out. :)
Have the Champagne and the Bordeaux equivalents and there have been many passes through the dishwasher, under the duress of lockdown.
Impressive results to date.
Unfortunately, I missed the white version. Will go looking again.
