Woolworths gift card thread

WW Erindale has some. "Happy Birthday" ones only, but they scan at the catalogue price. Typing this as I wait for them to activate..... 10 minutes so far. (I bought 10..... for now.)
Should. Be about 20 mins.

Keep. Us posted.

I got 4 cards for 7 to 8 mins

Found 3 at one store and it took 5 mins in the self serve to activate. eGC used. Birthday logo scanned as $100 each. Unless physical WISH cards work (no one has commented otherwise) and you can find a way to get a high value at 5% off quickly (1-2 days), then it looks like this would be the last of the fruitful offers.

I'll wager that at least some will fail.

Problems still exist this afternoon. If anything things have gotten worse since my experience this morning.

Tried to buy 4 at self serve. None activated. Long delays at the register but failed each time. Fixed up (hopefully) at service desk.

I'd like to bu a lot more, but the frustration aspect is quite difficult.

Also, very limited stock.
Sydney Town Hall they have a special display with 100's of the cards and prominent advertising explaining no fee

Also contrary to what has been reported no problems with using eGift Card except for the long wait for activation

Self-service took 21 minutes; no failures. Went and grabbed another 10 (leaving 14), but took them through a staffed register this time.... All activated OK in under a minute!

Even at almost 2c per point for the visas?

When you're more limited by leave (time) than your finances or points balance, the equation doesn't quite stack up all that nicely! I'm not really into hunting down multiple stores and risking few/none/not applicable cards on the shelves. That said, if I was going to be at a WW anyway doing my shop and see them - the Edge will come out :D

No way!!! I'll definitely have to verify this in person. To be clear - self serve or manned?
I used self service, a number of the staff told me I would not have had to wait so long for activation if I had gone to a manned counter though they may not have been aware I was using the eGift card
