Woolworths gift card thread

It a a viable offer but does make me nostalgic for the days of WISH and portal acceptance
its only been like 7 months since woolies stoped accepting egfit for gift cards

and I am still sad about it, but it has free up a lot of my time!

Starting Wednesday 27th, buy a $100 Only 1 VISA card get 1000 bonus points. $5.95 fee per card.
are the bonus points limited to a max number of cards??
or could I buy 10x cards, use the same woolies rewards card for all and get 10,000 points?

That is how it's worked previously (though less generous this time round)

Yep, if the systems are coded the same as they have been in the past, the 1,000 WR points per card get added to your accoiac instantly upon purchase, ready to use rightaway for the next transaction.
Of course there'll always be the "stray" points in the end, as your final card purchase will leave you with 1,000 WR points that you'll have to scrape together another 1,000 of them to get a discount.
Personally what I'd do with this is get as many as I can handle, then on the final transaction get 2, which will give a 2,000 point WR balance. Then do a normal grocery shop very soon, when the $10 discount will apply to the groceries.

I've done 11 payments on monday at local woolies and ive checked that the payments are no longer "pending". However I still can't add woolies to my list for Local Champ. Any ideas? its not in "recommended" or "visited"..

My local woollies has never showed up for me either.

It just seems like it's luck of the draw. I had to visit about 10 Woolies in my local vicinity before I could add one to LC (though this was many a month ago, but looks like things are still the same). Not sure whether it's dependent on the number of people using AmEx at the store or the size of AmEx transactions or something else entirely. Calling AmEx also won't produce helpful results as the call centre staff are not at the centre of the IT team....

Ive just called amex on the 1300 number and he went through the "map" for participating stores and he is not seeing any woolworths at all, only Coles.

Can I confirm with anyone here that they were able to add their woolies on as LC? if you could pass a suburb then I can check with the map on my app (by PM if u want). Im in sydney so i'm just interested to see if its based on location or if there is a bug in the system.

Have read a few people saying thay woolworths points earned CAN NO LONGER be used as cash off for gift card purchases.

It works for me but maybe this is another change in the gc market.

I won't be buying if they change it as I have enough qff points, plus the ratio of 2000 to 870 is poor in my mind

I bought a handful on Thursday night then the savings I used Off My groceries in the next transaction. Works well enough for me.

Doesn't really matter where the $5 gets used

Kicking myself, blaming it on lack of sleep, went to woolies this morning to buy the card and forgot to scan my woolies card! :(
Luckily only 1 card. Quick question, if I were to buy multiple cards in 1 transaction, will the 1000 bonus points trigger for all the cards or do I have to do them in separate transactions?

I purchased 5 in a single transaction and got 5,000 points.

Always been fine in 1 transaction.

The more cards the longer the validation (max 9 cards at a time)

I bought 10 cards today and they all validated. Needed to give my details when purchasing but was otherwise fine.
