Woolworths gift card thread

Check your maths. You get 2000 Woolworths points for each card in NSW. 2000 Woolworths points equals 870 qff points. And, of course, you don't need to take the QFF points. You can take the Woolworths points instead.

I definitely wouldn't buy if it was only 1000 points and I don't believe I ever discussed this as an option if 1000 points.
Yeah, I never suggested you discussed anything - this 1000 point option is true at time of posting for people who are not in your position, ie. Victoria.

I would also be interested to know if you can buy another gift card with a PHYSICAL Wow GC
I have in the past, around the time when some reports about eGC not being allowed to buy other GCs were starting to come in. May have changed though.

So are people buying the physical Wish GCs at 5% off?
$6.95 for 435 QFF is 1.6c per point which is not great value
(It is 1000 WW rewards points in Vic, not 2000 in NSW)
Don't forget your CC points. In my case an extra 160 which makes it a slightly more palatable 1.17c per point by my calcs.
Also then have cards to use when someone tries to slug a CC surcharge

This has happened previously. Its a known error.

106.95*20=2139 and Woolworth Rewards points are rounded up to the nearest even number, so it is 2140.

You probably never realise that you never earn Woolworth Rewards points in an odd number.

Q&A No.8

hmm... a trip to Sydney would probably impact the economic benefits of the exercise. Tempting, though.

As are others. Still plenty of stock on the 3 stores I've visited in last couple of days

I mentioned the happy days of eGift to one of the sales assistants-she said that staff discount cards had been restricted on some giftcard purchases too

My youngest are pleased with the mighty earn&learn sticker haul

Just heard a rumour that the deal for next week for nsw is 2000 pts for the only1 visa with the 5.95

Only a Chinese whisper at this stage

I saw this rumour too. I've seen quite a few places with a lot of stock...

I wonder if there will be a 10 per card limit.

It is a long time since I needed to do this, but has the method for checking the balance of the Only 1 gift cards changed?

I seem to recall that you went to this web site Gift Card - Introducing the Card! typed in the 16 digit card number, 9999 (default phone number) and then the 3 digit code on the back of the card. But that website doesn't allow this to work anymore. You can only enter 'user name' and 'password'. Have I remembered things wrongly? Or have things changed?

Definitely a change.

Have you tried clicking “need a login”
Yes. Did that. But that only works for 1 card. If I used this method every time, I'd need to register/get a new login for every card that I have!

Doesn't seem right to me. I don't remember this much of an issue previously.

I’ve not had to check a balance since the change, but it sure looks like a hassle.

Just back from a vivid weekend, using Etihad Guest miles on Virgin, along with Marriott and Vivid cashback offers.....Also just happened to snag a fully stocked Town Hall Woolworths with PerfectGift cards :). Happy with a small haul, will pay some bills via AustPost.

You guys/gals are lucky in other states (particularly NSW), we don’t even get Woolworths Rewards points/bonus points in Tassie.
