Woolworths gift card thread

I had issues today getting 10 card on my EDR account - I had already purchased 2 $100 cards earlier in the da. I went through self-checkout and a limit of 4 cards popped up on the screen - so a total of 6 cards - no where near the 10 pp!

None. Not sure if due to age or that their spend isn't frequent enough to build a pattern. Accounts have only been used for deals such as this where a limit per person applies (or is said to apply)

In that case the under 18 restriction is still in place. They can have cards but won't be eligible for targeted offers, only the general offers.

Should have checked out at the register.

Nope. My 4yp and 2yo have been WW rewards members for over a year. Entered their real DOB and had no issues.
I'll sign up my 5 month old daughter then.

I have purchased for 5 accounts x 9 gift cards on each so I guess I can do another 15 gift cards including daughters account if Woolworths is now enforcing the 10 transaction per account limit.

Anyone tried their EDR cards again today purchasing Visa Only cards?

Have we confirmed if it's 10 VISA Only transactions in total per EDR membership or 10 VISA Only transactions per day?

I would love to try. But I've been to so many local woolies I'm out.....

I didn't realise that there was a 4 GC limit at self-checkout

There isn't.

You can buy more at a self checkout, but it will require staff intervention. This isn't necessarily a problem, unless you may be trying to pay via a WISH card.

Last night I put through 1 gift card on each of the 5 accounts that I purchased the 9 gift cards the day before. Each one cost me $15.95 as the $90 earned has come off the bill.

I have now had my fun. Should I try pushing the limit past 10? I don't think it is worth it.

Thanks earlyriseer - I'll know for next time - I didn't realise that there was a 4 GC limit at self-checkout

There is a $500 limit per transaction on Gift Card Purchases. As cards cost $105 odd is why you cannot purchase the fifth as you would go over.
You can do as many transactions as you wish however. So just buy 4 cards each time.

I'm not sure it is related to T&C enforcement (sort of) on the Visa1 deal, but e-wish gift cards seem to be frozen too. I ordered some yesterday and they haven't been delivered.

Given the "please allow 24 hours for delivery" I'm unimpressed that no e-gift cards have been delivered more than 25 hours later.

In my experience the limit is $1000. That means 9 cards at a time IS possible. This DOES require intervention though.

Not had the same experience via cashrewards.

Have ordered at least 15 gift cards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Churning VISA ONLY cards). The most any of them has taken to arrive is 2.5 hours.

UPDATE: Latest $105.26 WISH card purchased today at 1.38pm. Received 3.29pm.

I am experiencing the same. A friday purchase is still on 'payment pending'.

I had found that when I purchased a gift card at a value I had not previously purchased at, the order took 24hrs give or take. When I repeated a GC value I had previously ordered - it came very quickly (2/3hrs).

However this above order is taking considerably longer - 1pm Friday purchase - 48 hours later and still nothing

Interesting. I wonder if the systems are linked on the back-end. Could they be slowed deliberately. Hmmmm.

My Fri & Sat orders took between 3 and 15 hours.

Or perhaps email is like the posted mail and everything takes longer getting to DRW :(

Not sure of the precise reasons that mine have all happened smoothly.

A couple of data points:

1) I have used a different credit card (VISA ONLY) to purchase each WISH card.

2) I have purchased over 200 WISH cards during the last year via the same account.

3) All WISH cards since Friday have been for the same amount ($105.26).
