Woolworths gift card thread

Interesting. I suppose it would be similar to the Rebel gift card promo before? Any snapshot of this offer?
was briefly on OzB before it was deleted. Confirmed though and arguably much better than Rebel. I do prefer the EFTPOS cards over the only1s at the moment but can't complain.. basically free money

ive notice that virtually every one of the woolworhts I visit always has only1 $100s,

will be interesting to see what happens on wedneday

I think this offer wont be hugely popular

Maybe Blackhawk have decided to make the offer since only1 sales tailed off last month...

Remember the Rebel theperfectgiftcard deal from October 2017 (Woolworths gift card thread)? Well something very similar is about to occur.

From this Wednesday (4/4/2018) buy a $100 VISA Only card from Woolworths and get a $10 David Jones egift card (by redemption at https://www.claimyourbonus.com.au/).

Don't forget that VISA Only's can be purchased with a 5% off WISH card. So that $10 David Jones ecard will cost you under .70cents!

Stock up on your WISH cards now just in case of processing delays.

Limit of 10. But if it's anything like the Rebel deal you can get around this buy signing up for the David Jones egift cards via different IP and email addresses.

There’s no DJs in DRW and the DJ website indicates they only sell their own brand of gift cards.

Any straightforward way to make use of the DJs gift cards @Dr Ralph ?

Can't confirm until I actually get my first lot of egift cards on Wednesday, but I would assume that the $10 egift cards can be used online at the David Jones website. There is definitely a limit though as to how many gift cards you can use in one transaction on the David Jones website. I think that limit is 5 from memory.

But I don't believe that there will be any other way of using the $10 egift card other than either in store or online with David Jones. This was the case with the Rebel promotion in October 2017.

Otherwise you may want to stock pile the $10 egift cards until you travel to a city with a David Jones store? At the discounted price you are getting them at I think this could be a reasonable option.

If I recall, the Rebel promotion was used to clear Perfect card stock with the old $5.95 activation fee,

You do recall correctly. But it may have been just a coincidence. Surely a staff member could have just taken away the old stock rather than having to have a promotion to clear the old stock.

Don't forget that old stocks of theperfectgift card were often available in some stores for many months after this promotion. So if the same thing is happening with Visa Only cards, old stock may be available again.

I assume that all versions of the Only1 is valid for the promotion including the Congratulations and Happy Birthday versions?

No. Only the $100 version is valid. The $50 version is not part of the promotion.

I have found congrats and birthday work the same as the standard green previously. Difficult to give a definitive answer but I'd guess yes

My Woolworths egift card order seems to be taking longer than usual. Usually 4 hours, now I am up to 30 hours and counting. Anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone else also been unable to access pricepal?

3 separate Woolwoths egift card transactions over last few days via NSW seniors link.
All came through in under 4 hours.

30 hours sounds way too long.
Maybe best to call them.

Don't know about price pal.

Hope it gets sorted quickly

Time can be random. I've had 2 hours to 2 days to receive them in the last month. If over 48 hours contact them.

Tip for everyone using self serves, to SKIP staff involvement

For me, maybe 1 in every 5 machines works

once the screen for asking to swipe your rewards card, if you let it sit there for about 10 seconds, it assumes you dont want to, and it goes straight to the checkout screen without staff swipe needed

I find its random, if I go back the next day to the same machine, it hasnt worked,
but you can go back to it straight away and it works

thats my einstein moment of 2018

This is not true. Bought some this morning - they expire in 99 years!

logically, to ensure the quickest way to get rid of the $5.95 fee ones, they would just drop the price or do a rebel type promo,

the fees are now $6.95, I contacted blackhawk and they did confirm this, and they have no intention of reducing the fee back down ,
I did tell them their sales for that card will probably plummet

I was being facetious. I doubt that the IT system can handle no expiry date so they are simply adding 99 years to the issue date as a solution.
