Suggest no one buys these, average offer as 5% back as WW dollars. I rather get a 3% discount on eBay gift cards via Shopback.

Not woolworths dollars for me. Converted to qantas points.

Shopback gift cards are only available via app. Which I'll never use. So not an option I could consider for discounted EBay gift cards.

Where else can you currently get 5% off eBay gift cards?

It's an okay offer in my books although a concern I have about gift cards, in general, is figuring out how to spend them. I mean it's one thing if it was a Woolies or Coles gift card, but when it's tied to retailers you don't frequent much then things can get iffy. I mean who is gonna end up spending $100 on hoagies at Subway? Not I!

I've spent more than $2K this year at EBay. So any saving is welcomed.

If you really have purchase in mind then ok, but the more people buys this, then this might be the norm in the future. Not really 5% in my books, 5% back in WW dollars or as Qantas points depends how much you value them at the moment. And having about 1.5m Qantas points and still accumulating, not sure when able to redeem for flights.

Back to this offer, Woolworths is doing the same thing as what they had done to The Perfect Gift Card, used to be 2k points, now 1k points.

For anyone with access to MLC Members Benefits, there's a current offer for Woolworths e-gift cards at 6% off (usually 3% off).

While the image and heading both say Woolworths, the Terms say Wish.

Offer ends 2 August, 2021

Payment by MC, Visa or Paypay (Amex) without a fee.

And in my case triggering an Amex offer of 10 QF points per $ spent, so there's 4,700 QFF points I wasn't expecting. :)

My GC was delivered today. And I can confirm despite the WW image and heading, I received a Wish EGC.

From Wednesday August 4, get 500 bonus points when you buy a $50 Only 1 VISA card. Plus get a chance to win a cash prize.

Dud offer!
Agree, difficult to get any value from it. May be if you needed to reach a inimum spend on a credit card and have exhausted all other possibilities? Or if you quickly needed some QFF points? But you are down a lot on each card.

Points offer appears to be available on all denominations excluding variable loads. Online T&C's state 1,000 points for $100 cards.

We should all ignore this offer so that they will (hopefully) go back to a decent offer similar to some of the past offers.
As an aside, I've been playing those games with Coles and Woolies. I meet the exact spend requirements for their promos then go away when the offers disappear only for bonus offers to reappear a few weeks later. So far my offers from Woolies have been decent, namely spend $30 in week 1 get 1000 bonus points, spend $40 in week 2 to get 2000 bonus points and spend $50 in week 3 to get 3000 bonus points. Those are the type of offers that will make me come in to Woolies in the first place.

Maybe WW is only giving a meagre offer to stop AFFers being tempted to break the Sydney lockdown shopping restrictions

So far the offers I've received in the past month have been:

  • Coles
    • 4800 bonus points for spending $110 or more in one shop
    • 10000 bonus points for spending $90 per week for 4 weeks
  • Woolies
    • $30 for 1000 points in week 1 /$40 for 2000 points in week 2 / $50 for 3000 points in week 3
As for lockdown shopping restrictions, I don't see how getting groceries is a violation of that. In my case, since I am fully vaxxed and in a high risk group, I do a click and collect to the "boot" of my bike from Woolies and Coles each week to minimize contact (still figuring out how to get blood tests organized to determine if I am indeed fully protected from the jab).

My comment was slightly tongue in cheek but last time there was a reasonable Coles Gift MC offer I visited 4 stores before 9am
