Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

So I got home from holiday to find mail from Woolworths Rewards. I haven't opened it. Should I send it back with a note?
 
Why not, I did.
It won't be a card since I have a staff discount card which aren't getting changed (In fact I'm still using my old staff card because I refuse to activate the "WoW People Card" they sent out to "replace" the discount cards a few months ago). It's most likely just a pamphlet listing the changes and promoting the new program.

hmm... maybe I could dump it in the outgoing internal mail bag.

I had success! Found a dairy item in 'use by tomorrow' section. Reduced from $3.95 to $1.50. Noticed full priced item was offering 50c woollies pesos.

Swiped card and 50c peso earn also applied to discounted $1.50 stock! Bargain!

Just another $9.50 to go... let's just hope there's no 18 month expiry on the banked money!
 
So I bought a couple.. But on final ticket only $4.40 ( was at least another $3.40 on other items)

So I have been short changed on my Worthless dollars
 
Complain, MOA, as you have the proof. You were only meant to get 50c per block but they have falsely advertised and need to give you the $. Complain loudly,

Yes, definitely do. WW need to know what pile of carp this new programme is.
 
I haven't visited this thread for a while and my, how it's grown! Anyway this scheme must win some sort of prize for the coughpiest ever.

Just got a statement from Woolworths telling us the balance of our Woolworths dollars. Mrs Warks spends over $300 a week at our local Woolworths. The princely sum of our balance: $2.93!!

Utterly pointless.

I just lodged a complaint with the ACCC about the deceptive advertising that Woolies are now emailing me which doesn't even show the total price of the products they want to flog to me.

In the (unlikely) event that I ever hear back from the ACCC I will post an update.

BTW, over $350 spent at Woolies since the start of Woolworths 'Rewards' = approx. 300 QFF points and still just 0.50 Woolworths Pesos. :evil:

My local Coles staff are already getting to know me as a regular now.
 
Since the points offers dried up and the peso system kicked in I haven't set foot in Woolies. This weeks specials contains something I need so will pass through, quite interested to check out the changes. Saw those red spot specials are back, wonder if they also earn pesos?
 
The receipts no longer show the number of QFF points earned, but there is a statement along the lines of, "you have earned 1 QFF point for each dollar over 30", or something like that. Does your receipt have that on it?
My receipt yesterday showed that, but it's been missing for the last couple of weeks. Despite over $300 shop, still didn't earn any monopoly dollars.
Maybe they've misjudged the demographic of their customers - people who want to buy bright green sugar laden cordial may already be shopping at Aldi...
 
I decided to give feedback today using the online chat system. Boy, did I get fobbed off. All I got was a one line response saying:

Complaints are best sent to [email protected].

That was it. Well, when I feel I have sufficient time, I will send email and I won't be holding back!
 
Its actually refreshing now that we are not tied to Woolies.
We use Coles and IGA and am impressed the freshness of their fruit.
I wonder how long management will take to realise the mistake they have made.
Of course,Qantas needs to bear some share of the blame for selling their QFF points knowing there was a minimal chance of getting award seats anywhere near where you want them and, of course for their legendary woeful customer care.
 
I'm enjoying going to Coles more often. At the moment the only benefit I get from Woolworths is 5% discounted Wish cards. I don't get any bonus from the current state of the new loyalty program. Today my combined flybuys bonuses meant I'll be getting back 35% of the value in points. Some will be paid in a few days and the rest will be paid in 3 weeks. The points will be turned straight back into savings off my groceries.

My local Woolies has 20 pesos back on Woolworths 2l milk. So I may collect a few pesos this week!
