Well supposedly at the moment you can double dip although there are no bonus QFF offers (or at least I have not seen them). I have received QFF points for spending above $30 and got pesos (nectarine shop) on the one docket.

You can double dip until 31st December. Not sure I would call it a full double dip though since the Rupiah side of the dip is severely lacking in value and credibility.

You MIGHT still receive QFF points until December 31. I just checked my QFF Activity Statement and my last Woolies shop with points was 22 October (A mysterious 257 points - I don't recall any bonus offers in that shop of less than $40)
Its more like an (illegal) lottery in every transaction!

No *might* about it for me. I am getting my shopping and fuel points in my QFF account just as I was prior to the introduction of WWR.

Looks like I have a big bus ticket buying shop ahead as NSW stops selling paper bus tickets on 31.12.15 and after that you can only purchase OPAL cards.

The sting is that for around 45% of bus/train users - OPAL is more expensive than the cost of a Travel 10 ticket (ok old parlance used).

Did this years ago just before they phased out the old clunky cardboard 10 ride tickets - kept us going for another 4 months!

How? No expiry printed on the tickets so they cannot refuse them even if they take out the ticket readers.

Also time to pre-plan conversion of WoW cards into Bunnings, JB Hi Fi, etc purchasing for next year.

Spreadsheet time!

Big W | Woolworths | Qantas Points

Stock up at BIG W until 31 December 2015 and see your Qantas Points balance grow. BIG W brings you Australia's lowest prices everyday on everything you ...

On another thread I saw that Flight Centre cards are 10% off this week at Big W (I think it was) so finally able to use them.

Use 5% off cost Wow cards to buy 10% off Flight centre with 5% surcharge = 10% off

Used FC price match this year for booking 5x European return tickets, so I foresee a pleasant points haul from using cash rewards to buy WoW cards at 5% off using Velocity Amex at no surcharge to buy Flight Centre at 10% off. Now to find that thread and confirm my memory was correct.

Found it - Not Big W but WoW!

I bought 1 x $200 and 1 x $100 yesterday. Waiting for them to be emailed out. The terms & conditions from Woolworths say that they are Big W store egift cards and will not work at other Woolworths branded stores, so it will be interesting to see if that is correct.

Woolworths have got Flight Centre gift cards 10% off this week. I picked up 3 x $150 cards to pay the last portion of our family cruise holiday.

Here's the details:
WoWFC offer.jpg

Plus these may also add some value (if you're patient enough). Why? Well if you buy a $50 gift card you get (according to the T&Cs) $10 off your next shop. So you buy another gift card for $60 value and pay $50 and get a $10 off your next shop which is your next $60 gift card purchase. It may work at $50 purchase from the second one but why risk it.

WoW 10 off 021215 offer.jpg

Time for the spread sheeting to begin!

So I think that this new game has been going on for about 4 weeks.

I have spent about $400 and earned approx $3 WOW money.

So disappointing.

You're doing better than us. On the basis that all of our WW spend should be on the Amex PE card, I just had a look at the previous billing cycle (2/11 - 1/12), and the total spend at Woollies was $458.22. So far we've earned 87 Woolworthless cents.

Everybody seems to get $10 wollies dollars this week for spending over $100. At least in Vic it came as part of the mailbox catalogue.

They have noticed my card is not being used:

Hi Oatek,

For the next two weeks, you can supercharge your savings by earning up to $10 bonus Woolworths Dollars!

That's $5 Woolworths Dollars each week, when you spend $30* at a Woolworths supermarket. This great offer is only available to a select few, so don't miss out. Simply activate your offer below and remember to scan your card at the checkout.

Me too. Not so select. Either that or the 'few' are many.

Former CEO, Roger Corbett is back being an " Advisor" to the Woolworths board, working One day a week and reportedly earning $700,000 p.a to give advice to the board & senior management.
Let's hope Roger Corbett gets the supermarket division back on track.
A review of the supermarket marketing Department would be a good start.
One of the disgusting things wrong with this world. No one is worth that much.

Coles have received my weekly shop every week for over a month now. Woolworths haven't seen me at all, and it would be the other way around before they made these changes.

By next week I will have shopped at Coles for seven weeks and will have received 20,000 (worth $100) FB's for about $840 of expenditure. I used to shop almost exclusively at Woolworths so I shopped there (for some much reduced Spanish cheese) and received a lucky $10 Everyday Rewards from the lottery. I spent that on more reduced items and noted the lack of orange stickers on goods I often purchase. I'll stick with Coles unless QF points come back and stay.

Yes, WOW has lost the plot, like QF. WOW over is complex and inconsistent. Deferred benefit in place of consistent easy understood system of specials and points. QF are all about big corporate travellers and offer huge discounts don't care about SME and smaller corporates. Thank goodness for John Borghetti at Virgin, I support him where ever I can. Sure he is in business but at least his team doesn't make you feel second class.. Its interesting that QFF priced themselves out of WOW. The cost of the scheme obviously didn't bring enough trade. Declining pull of QF FF points, devalued and too hard to redeem. Pity WOW management is so isolated they don't realise you can't treat customers, and in particular Mums who shop like mugs. Both QF and WOW senior management need a clean out.
