I just completed a survey with Nine Rewards that was clearly for Woolworths. Feedback on new reward scheme, questions around earning points on every dollar spent, etc, etc. Clearly the backlash has been noticed at Woolies. I got stuck into them in the freeform boxes where possible.

I had a survey today too, directly from WWR. Got 1/3 of the way through it twice and it crashed. Might try a third time, I really want to give them my feedback on this subject

Just completed the survey, no crashing for me but it took considerably longer than the quoted 3 minutes to complete, and several questions began with "and finally"

also had that one - chance to be part of a community and 'win' part of $2000 wish cards. Worked well for me but don't think EDR will be 'happy' with my honest comments

I was happy to complete the Nine survey. However I think the team at Woolworths will observe from their sales figures that there is a problem. Putting orange stickers on items which have been re-priced upwards to provide maybe money is not a way to entice customers back into the store. The long wait to bring back Qantas points (surely a simple computer change of Woolworths dollars=Qantas points) hints that there are more decisions to be made. Hence the survey.

I really wasn't too impressed by the former scheme as hardly ever got a promo like many here did.
However with the new scheme most weeks have had a promo basically giving 20% off.Plus 2 instant $10 off.Plus an extra~$5 making up the pesos to the $10 level.
So this has been much better for us than the old scheme.
My only wish has been that they make Tasmania a part of Australia though with my time there coming to an end this will no longer be a drawback.

You're lucky, I've had zero promos since Xmas.

I took advantage of the amex promo last week to get the $20 cashback and combined it with a free delivery offer from WW, spend $150 for free delivery. Spent $162 for $1.49 pesos. Phht, laughable.

I haven't gotten any offers since xmas. :(

The reason EDR and WR have not been available in Tasmaina is because when Woolworths acquired Roelf Vos and Purity, part of the deal was that they would keep the existing Frequent Shopper Club. If Woolworths changes the FSC, then they could end up losing their stores in Tas.

$100 off our shop yesterday with Coles $FB. Only took 8 weeks to rack up the required points with judicious shopping. Woolies can go jump!

But I am doing better than that.Just over $500 spend to get $140 off.
Assuming I always got triple FB points it would take me a little under $700 spend to get that $100 off.

A couple of members mentioned filling in a survey sent via Woolworths Rewards. I'm guessing some of you received invites to the "At Home" community after doing this survey. The latest moderator entry on the, "At home" forum mentions there has been a recent influx of new members so I'm guessing there is a connection there.

I too received a survey from Woolies this week regarding their new loyalty scheme, and when it came to the question of where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping in reference to all the major supermarket players I marked woolies under the column " used to regularly shop here, but no longer regular shop here".
I was quite puzzled why the next question of the survey didn't dig deeper and ask prompting questions why my shopping habits changed.

If woolies really sought to get the most out of this recent market research then questions relating to the reasons behind switching should have been asked.

Survey was undertaken by T Garage, Insight IQ.

I have joined but not paid any attention since.

T Garage, Insight IQ are the company that Woolworths hired to create the At Home forum.

Sounds totally understandable to me.

  • Market research will be commissioned by the 'geniuses' who came up with the wonderful new rewards scheme.
  • They know the new version MkII is still a dud.
  • They want to protect their future employment.
  • So they push poll (albeit cleverly) and only ask the questions in such a way so the answers do not hang them.

Absolutely logical to have a follow-up question to that asking why?

Equally absolutely career ending for the mgmt if they did so.

One new example for the future MBA courses - dysfunctional behaviour driving corporate decision making.
