Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Like others I received the first offer since WW changed the program last year. $50 spend for 870 points / $10. I'm taking the points.
Other household cards have not received any offers.

No offers, but spent $595.10 on saturday morning on groceries, so have no need to shop for a while.

Be very interesting to see how they approach future 'loyalty' spend offers with you after such a $shop.
Whether this is a regular figure for your spend or if it is irregular,

...will they try and entice you with large points offers for extra large spends? or the opposite?

Keep us posted on your experience :-)

It looks like news.com.au jumped the gun recently announcing the 870 QFF points for $10 rollout had already begun. They misunderstood the targeted offers released yesterday for the across the board ability to convert any $10 Woolworths dollars earned into 870 QFF points. The article was amended later to reflect that the points option was only given to a few members through the targeted offers system and that the automatic conversion option was still coming sometime in the next few months.

I didn't see the original article but this is a link to the revised article.

Woolworths Rewards program: new Qantas partnership goes live

The URL name is also misleading.

Can we please close this thread? The partnership has already been reviewed. There is a dedicated thread to posting weekly offers.

I think we can use this thread for general discussion of the program and proposed or possible changes to it.

Until the new system goes live I still think there's a discussion to be had. I was logging in all day wondering why I couldn't find a preference before I found out it was a mistake!

The past 2 pages are people posting their weekly offers not general discussion on where the program is headed.

It gets very confusing trying to keep up with the various offers in 2 threads.

Sounds like a thread cleanup is needed then. Alas, hard to do from bed!

Precisely.

The conversation in relation to Woolworths future decision making in relation to its loyalty scheme will no doubt continue.

Got a survey from company on behalf of WoW $$.

Not a scam in the 'normal sense' of scam but '20 minutes' to do survey well....

Real push-polling for one or two questions. "Label 1 to 6 the top six reasons why you choose to shop at WoW".

Luckily there was an "Other" box for one choice where I wrote "I choose NOT to shop at WoW each week anymore so answers above are bogus but survey will not let me proceed."

An SMH article headed "Woolworths loyalty program comes up short"

Link

I imagine the contibutors to this thread will collectively say "I told you so".

At least I received (and used) the recent offer to accept QFF points instead of Rewards dollars. Perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel.

They may have researched the article using this thread...

Just came across this document which was sent out by Woolworths to its suppliers when launching Woolworths Rewards:

http://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/pdf/supplier-information.pdf

It makes some rather dubious claims, but here's what caught my attention. Their so-called "extensive customer research"... you know, the research that claimed customers were crying out for the Woolworths Rewards program... was based on a survey of just 1,470 people! That's 0.016% of the 9 million members Woolworths claims to have. Hardly extensive.

The brochure also seems to confirm that the program was designed to get suppliers to pay for the rewards... a move that seems to have backfired for Woolies.
