I was offered a spot on the media flight to SYD-BNE but had to decline due to a previous engagement. I'll be touring it on Monday in SYD, though.

It was nice to have a comp which was not off limits to mods, there have been some goodies in the past that have been off limits, thems the breaks! Its also good to see Red Roo spread the love around, other media have had only Sydney spots available, even though something like this is worth booking a flight for, its still nice.

I was the first to respond for MEL too... strange

See you guys on Sunday (just got the email from QF with the meeting point). If anyone wants a lift from the CBD I can take one person (I live in the CBD).

Won't be heading to the J lounge (as the meeting spot is not at the main terminal; I'll drive there and park at said spot as it's free). Also, no BP will be issued I wouldn't imagine so unless you're flying in/out that day, we wouldn't get in anyway (the DJ Lounge however...).

I was going to say its unlikely any of the tours will be near the terminal, the gates are not configured for the dreamliner so its a stand off bay or remote area, given the amount of non ASIC wearing folks, the later will be the location.

The QF contact just emailed me as a courtesy advising of a 24 hour closure on the M80 ring road in MEL which could add up to an hour of delay according to the vicroads notification, so make sure you fellow melbournites coming allow for it!

I also got the email about the MEL traffic issue and responded with my flight details. A quick response from QF say that's one way to beat the traffic.
