Drewbles Got it right this time lol

Are you going to go to the Melbourne lounge before hand and meet for coffee etc?

No lounge for me. I'll be coming directly from the CBD and don't really feel like lining Melbourne airports coffers any more than is absolutely necessary ;) Also it'll be just easier to drive to the meeting point directly. There is no access to the J lounge as I'm not flying, and the DJ lounge is nice, but I can get better coffee around the corner from home :)

Who are the Sydney guests?

My email says we are meeting at QCC Mascot to bus from there. Must be a coffee spot near?

I've "beaten" you all to it. As my Rex flight was taxiing out of Sydney this afternoon the 787 was on the other taxiway inbound. It was nice to see it close up (although not as close as the lucky winners). Enjoy

Not sure they will be open on a weekend, there is always the HI across the road.

Isn't the SYD viewing on Monday morning? They're definitely all open then as I walk past them all when going to the office.

It was still there at noon today. I agree the engines do look big, and low to the ground as well. I was sitting in J next to a pilot back-loading and he was a little surprised I knew about it's Australian visit. Thanks for the heads up Red Roo. :p

Sent from my iThing.
Why, because iCan.

Damn, didn't win competitions.
Amazingly return flights PER-SYD on Monday are less than $400 return, would have done a day trip for sure! :P

Better go to uni instead then :)

Do they look bigger (either in their own right, or proportionally to the plane) than the engines on a 777? Cause those puppies are massive.
