When doing bathroom renovations recently I was advised to purchase a pop up 'waste' for the basin. I love not having a plug to lose. It was purchased separately to the basin which just had a hole at the bottom.
Those are usually the style in hotels. They always seem to leak. I’m not a fan. We have nice metal ones that seal completely.

The one with the painted fence! And you said it looked small???
Kinda but it was dark! Far more space than we have now.

Re the aircon and double glazing, I've never had either so I'm looking forward to it. I've lived in a 50s weatherboard most of my life .

During our UK trip, I took a lot of notice of the glazing and windows they were using.

Host. The house was built in 1890 and the heritage paints match the era.

Me. Are those windows double unglazed with some sort of gas in them, what do you call that style window?

I'm sure some thought I had a window fetish, one I was caught filming opening and closing the shutters.

And that wayward fence is still wayward, unlike the straight and military style one on the other side.
They don't even have a sign up with the name of the builder, emergency info etc. Very sloppy.

Yeah most houses have no yard, they build right to the back fence. We chose a double storey so we would have a decent usable yard.

I suppose most new estates are sold as a "lifestyle" with bike paths and park greenspace but youre going to get to open the rear doors and sit in your yard and relax, looking at your garden. Nice.

The square at the back of our house is our outdoor room. Will be nice to drink and dine out there.
