Global CrowdStrike IT outage impacting airports and more

I have never purchased domestic travel insurance and I never intend to.

I consider it junk insurance.
I’ve never purchased it either… but I always make sure to pay for flights using a credit card (in my case, AmEx) that comes with travel insurance.

Friday night entertainment is hunting for a booking. MH is working, but JAL just giving me an Amadeus Framweork Error, whatever that is.

Because you have annual multi trip travel insurance with global coverage?

No, because I don't need medical coverage (it's domestic) and the other costs are unlikely to happen, and if they happen, I'll absorb them. If you travel frequently it doesn't take many trips to make it worthless

That said, I might have something with my Amex. Never come up that I had to look into it (which again says how useless domestic travel insurance is)

Though both Navitaire and Altea are now owned by Amadeus. Will there ever be a platform merger?
Aren’t they targeted at different market segments - Altea is full service and Navitaire is LCC and targeting incidental revenue.

Given the fees that full service carriers now charge, perhaps a merger makes sense…

Full service airlines with a LCC subsidiary are Altea for the full service and Navitaire for the LCC.

Some Navitaire users such as Ryan Air are very large airlines and do not have incidental revenue.

Sorry, Ryanair is the master of incidental revenue…?

Isn't Navitaire hosted by Amadeus? I'm surprised that they're unable to restore their hosted service
