Here's one for the brains trust - I booked SYD-LAX-SFO during the promotion, on QF metal to LAX and then AS metal to SFO. This was booked through our corporate travel platform, Navan. The fare class was Economy Saver (S), earning 60 SCs (before DSC) for the SYD-LAX segment. Navan provided an option to upgrade for ~$750 into T class (Premium Economy Saver), which I took. Under this, I would've earned 90x2 = 180 SCs. I subsequently put in for a Classic Upgrade Reward to J, which came through yesterday afternoon.
As you may have seen in the Qantas delays thread, QF11 has been delayed 29 hours. I realised this evening that Qantas hadn't re-booked my LAX-SFO leg. The first agent I spoke to claimed that, because I had checked in to the AS flight, they couldn't make any changes. He eventually added a second LAX-SFO flight, but couldn't remove the original one from the booking. I naturally wasn't happy with this as I was concerned about a no-show impacting subsequent segments. I've since called Navan, who have got hold of another agent in Cape Town who has been more helpful. She has managed to rebook me onto the direct QF73, but in U class (Classic Flight Reward Business), meaning I am likely to only earn 72x2 = 144 SCs as a PCP member.
What am I likely to be entitled to? And how much of a pain is it likely to be to get it credited? Is this considered a voluntary change?
