I had them on my first statement which then posted into 2 entries on the same day on Velocity. Velocity then added the bonus the next day - so everything was done quite smoothly. Maybe call them to check that they gave the correct velocity number in the back-end ?

No - the status match promotion is long closed. QR is not really customer focused so I believe it would be next to impossible to get them to grant you a status match unfortunately.

You might want to calculate how many miles you’d get with Aéroplan and with Etihad Guest and see which one would make more sense to credit to. Aeroplan has many partners / Etihad Guest has great availability on Virgin Australia services.

All great points are raised above. I do quite like the VA/EY partnership as I found that the integration was and is always very smooth. I fly EY/VA to Europe in Y three to four times to Europe per year as an Etihad Guest member (so a bit different than a Velocity member) and I never had one...
