    Virgin T Class

Yep - I think this is the best option for searching yourself for T availability. I made a gif a while back over on the ANZ thread to show where to type this rule: https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/threads/anz-rewards-travel-adventure-card.81066/post-1882890

    Book the Cook- Recommendations

And yes, at this point in the meal the cabin crew were topping up Champagne from the caviar course, white wine from the soup pairing, and now also red with the lamb. I'm a bit embarrassed about the number of glasses in that photo!

Roast rack of lamb was very tasty last year out of Sydney.

    VA to withdraw from GET

As a Perth resident It's such a shame to see VA cutting services (whilst understandable), especially after aquiring SkyWest. It wasn't too long ago they flew Albany/Esperance, and internationally to Bali and Thailand (and for a very short period Johannesburg, and that planned A330 route to AUH)...

Something big is coming! (1st May)

In addition to hype, they've also become better at hiding bad news. The old Velocity site used to have a fairly prominent link to "Program Updates" in the main navigation, and I have been unable to find it on the new website... until today! In the footer, the "Media centre" link (which looks...

Explorer Travel Credit - pay more to use it?

I also use it for airfares - and, unlike hotels, you also earn loyalty points when booking through a third party site. Just make sure it's for a flight that you won't need to change, as the additional agent charges are a downside.

Feedback on the Xenforo 2.1 Upgrade

There seems to be a problem with some old link redirections which can be frustrating for users clicking old links or bookmarks (and which you also probably want to maintain and keep the SEO value of those links). When visiting my bookmarked link...

    A330 to B737 Downgrade

I guess this must still be a fairly frequent occurrence? I noticed two days ago (whilst checking a booking for later in April) that both my outbound/inbound PER-MEL flights in August which I had selected during the double status credits offer and upgraded to business using points have been...

    velocity website points availability

I believe the ability to see availability for more than one day at a time is supposed to be happening. Through the Velocity app it's now possible to see availability for a few days - and that's an embedded webpage, so hopefully will make its way to the main website soon.

    AMEX Complimentary Flight Booking

No points or staus credits since the change to booking via the virgin compflights site unfortunately. I've since cancelled my card, as I found the explorer+platinum edge combo better for me. Although I'll have to re-evaluate that too with the upcoming April redemption changes.

    Unique and unusual travel experiences

My most recommended experience in recent years would be a visit to the Chornobyl / Chernobyl exclusion zone :D. Also the short trip I made to Bariloche in Patigonia Argentina - the best part here was hiking alone on mountain trails encountering very few people whilst being surrounded by...

A trip to the UK and Canada (VA, SQ A380 suites, and AC 787 business)

I'm afraid I didn't get any photo of the seat - failure there on my part to remember before settling in and spreading my stuff everywhere! Here's one I found/stole from an image search: In terms of seat comfort, I had the following buried away from the LHR-YYC flight: The seats aren't quite...
