If on QF paper the AA flight will not revalidate, will need to reissue. Same if changing CX too, as suprisingly most of the OW carriers systems to not mesh for revalidations. No idea on the fee, could be they are charging a service fee to change another carriers ticket.

Rex charge a fee for credit card - it is charged seperately to the main airfare. I believe it's around 1.4% for Visa/Mastercard. Higher for AX/DC

Yes that's right. As far as we are concerned the ticketed point is the main city code (NYC), but book into LGA/EWR/JFK as required. .

Those cities are not coutned as open jaw and should show as the main city code (NYC/LON) on the ticket. SYDJFK//LGABOSMCOLGW//LHRSYD would be 5 coupons.

We use the JQ website continually each day, and it can be incredibly furstrating how poorly it performs-especially in comparison to DJ's. Not sure if this is related to OP, but quite frankly the JQ booking engine is **** and super buggy.

As FC agents seem to act as the merchant rather than using the airline, I wonder if they quote the tickets including the YR and then exempt it when issuign the tickets and keep the $25/7.70 for themselves, and then have their markup on their credit card fee too?

Think of it this way - if you're offered a 10% discount for cash at your favourite whitegood store, they've factored this into their margins already, essentially you could be paying a 10% surcharge for playing by credit card/finance.
