Jetsar - FF points for Starclass to Osaka

Actually, when you include the 20% discount for FFP redemptions in *class, that makes the cost closer to QF Premium Economy than QF J (ie PE = 1.5 Y, *class = 1.6 Y). Now whether * class is a better option than PE noone is really in a position to say yet. The other issue is whether QF actaully...

Virgin Blue - Acknowledement to Country PA

I already get peeved at the number of usually inane PA announcements that cut into the AV programming  , so I hope QF don't feel obliged to follow suit and introduce this.

Is Star Class going to be removed from being QFF business equivalent?

I think that would be sensible, provided they also change the burn side of the equation so booking *C on points only costs the same as booking PE. Too late for me though, I already have a *C trip for the family booked that cost me J points, though with a 20% discount at least.

    Seat Envy

There should be no difference between the results for "Forward Aisle" or "Aisle Forward", either should result in you being provided the most forward available aisle seat. It could only create a problem if there was a limit to what was considered a "forward" seat, such as in front of the exit...

    FF Question from a Newbie

Myh understanding of the OPs position though is that they do most of their travel on FF points earned via CC spend, so it is unlikely they will be able to achieve enough status to get lounge access when not flying premium.

    Two And A Half Men

I don't think it is anything to do with an "aussie sense of humour". I would also much prefer 2 & 1/2 men to Kath & Kim, and consider myself as having a good aussie sense of humour. Its just personal taste. But I definitely agree with others, give me Kenny and more episodes of Top Gear...

QF108 to QF94, worth the risk?

Yes, I was in the new FLounge last month and it is quite good, definitely a step above the interim lounge :) . The showers are very good and are shared with the J lounge.

QF108 to QF94, worth the risk?

Another consideration is that the QF108-94 connection does not allow enough time to sample the new TBIT lounges. Getting a shower in prior to the long flight across the pacific is really worthwhile in my opinion.

    Qantas Itineraries

I recently made an award booking for J* *class MEL-BKK for myself and 3 family members and received the formal pdf itinerary for each of us. You are right that it would present much better as a gift.

Has The Qclub Lounge Opened In Lax Tbit

Just to add a little more perspective, the new TBIT FLounge is pretty equivalent to the T4 Flagship Lounge, but more modern and maybe just a little larger. It also has a large screen tv, with a more traditional viewing area in front of it. I had a bit of a view of the JLounge area as I...

Has The Qclub Lounge Opened In Lax Tbit

I had a bit of time up my sleeve so changed my JFK-LAX flight from QF108 to an earlier AA flight, so I did not get caught up in this, and to ensure I got time to visit the new FLounge. A very good move I believe :D .

Has The Qclub Lounge Opened In Lax Tbit

I haven't seen this discussed elsewhere, so I am happy to report the new lounges are open and are a significant improvement on the interim :) . I visited the new TBIT FLounge on 22/11 and it was a pleasant experience. The lounge is not big, but was not crowded at all prior to the departure of...

    Starclass Avail On Award Bookings

A slightly different question, but thought it was more efficient to post it here rather than create a new thread. Can anyone tell me how far in advance of flight date that award seats for Jetstar Starclass are made available? I am looking to book MEL-BKK for the family next Sept, but there is...

    Postcode when buying petrol

I always just went to the cashier prior to filling and they usually just swiped my cc and then entered the amount upon completion of the filling. It would be easier if there was a generic code you could use though.

The Glamour of being an international traveller.

Well I am sitting here in the FLounge in SIN, thinking there has to be better things to do. I flew out of MEL on a Sunday afternoon, and will be in Krakow in about another 20 hours. I will waste my Cup day there and will fly out of there on Thursday afternoon to arrive back in MEL Sat morning...

Seat Allocations on flights with stops

Yes, that is a reason I have been given. How far in advance of the flight do they allocate the aircraft though, I have had my requested (and allocated) seats reallocated months prior to a flight? Accepting that this is the reason, I have queried why the reallocation done after a substitution...

Upcoming trip to SFO and HNL

Wouldn't that be 46BC/HJ or 58BC/HJ? K is the window seat with the bulge in the door?

Seat Allocations on flights with stops

Yes, I understand that, but each time I have lost my preferred seats and then phoned again, they have told me the seats have not been allocated, and I have been reallocated them. My preferred seats are the upstairs window seats on the exit rows, so, as far as I am aware, the only person who...
